Courteney Cox begs Jennifer Aniston: ‘Stop messing with your face’

As fans continue to speculate that Jen’s wrinkle-free face is down to Botox and fillers, her BFF is telling her to slow down with the tweakments

She’s been America’s sweetheart since rising to fame on the popular sitcom Friends in the 90s, but Jennifer Aniston’s age-defying looks have left fans questioning whether the actress has had the help of surgery over the years.

Now, an insider reveals her BFF Courteney Cox, 59, has been advising Jen, 55, to slow down on having procedures done to her face.

“Jen’s over-use of fillers and other forms of surgery is freaking out everyone in her circle, including fellow Botox addict Courteney Cox – who’s gone to the lengths of staging a minor intervention,” the source says.

“It’s pretty ironic because back when Courteney first got into doing Botox and fillers Jen was totally against it and gave her a very hard time. She used to make fun of her and people like Nicole Kidman and even Sandra Bullock when they were getting surgery because back when it was a lot less fashionable. But now the tables have turned and it’s Jen that’s always tinkering with her face.”

The source adds that Jen can’t seem to cope with even the “smallest wrinkle” on her face.

“She rushes to her doctor the minute she sees the slightest change in her face. It’s worrying Courteney because Jen seems to be really hooked on it and she’s now even talking about getting work done on her body, which is crazy because she’s still in great shape. Courteney’s been open about her mistakes when it comes to plastic surgery and she’s determined to get Jen to see she needs to pull back from this obsession before it’s too late.”

In 2017, Courteney – who was once a massive fan of fillers – announced she had all her fillers dissolved. “I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realise that fillers are not my friend. I’ve had all my fillers dissolved,” she admitted.

Last year, she opened up again about the “domino effect” of using anti-aging injectables. “You don’t realise that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more, ‘cause you look normal to yourself,” she said. “You look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh, that looks good’ … You don’t realise what it looks like to the outside person.”

She added, “Thank God they [fillers] are removable. I messed up a lot and now luckily, I was able to reverse most of that.”

Two weeks ago, Jen shared an Instagram video of her daily workout routine with fans. Her face looked completely wrinkle-free, fuelling the rumours that she’s undergone cosmetic procedures. After series three of Jen’s show The Morning Show launched on Apple TV at the end of last year, fans heavily speculated on social media that Jen had had work done

“I’m watching the new season of The Morning Show and I can’t get past Jennifer Aniston’s face! What did she do? Made it almost unrecognisable & weird,” one fan wrote. Another said, “She looks like a freak, I can’t watch her anymore and I used to love Jennifer Aniston. Getting work done and messing up your face are not the same thing.”

Previously, Jennifer has admitted to going under the knife. In 2007, she revealed how a nose job helped her sleep again. “It’s funny. I had [a deviated septum] fixed – best thing I ever did. I slept like a baby for the first time in years. As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it’s still mine. All of it. Still mine,” she said.

In 2018, the actress underwent a second surgery to fix the previous procedure.
Four years before this, in 2014, Jen – who likes to work out three times a week including weight-training and doing a spin-yoga class – shared her thoughts on ageing gracefully and said she doesn’t believe in botox.

“I am fortunate enough to know women like Gloria Steinem, who I think is one of the most stunning women on the planet, and doesn’t touch her face,” she revealed. She added, “Diane Keaton, Annette Bening, all of these fabulous fearless women who are flawless, they embrace it! You know, to each their own; I don’t judge it if you do it, but sometimes I wish I could beg the people I know, who I am very near and dear to, to not touch their face.”

The Murder Mystery actress also said, “I believe in ‘no-tox.’ It absolutely distorts peoples faces and you end up actually having the opposite effect. “You look older, in my opinion, when you can’t move and don’t let your natural expressions have their way.”

But it seems Jen’s opinion on aesthetic procedures has changed and it’s worrying Courteney, who Jen has been close friends with for 30 years since starring alongside her in Friends.

The insider adds, “Jen really swears by these little touch ups, it started out as being a nice boost to her self-esteem but then it became this regular pattern and now it’s gotten to a point where she just can’t seem to quit. Her appointments are getting more and more frequent and no matter how much she gets done, she’s never satisfied. “She gets compliments all the time about how great she looks but instead of just enjoying it she’s always looking in the mirror and pointing out her so-called flaws that need to be fixed. What’s really crazy is she’s started saying she needs to get stuff done to her body too.”

They add she even wants the skin on the rest of her body to be more taut.

“She’s gotten obsessive about the skin on her legs, she’s convinced it’s not tight enough anymore, which is nuts because her legs look incredible, she works out so hard and it shows. She’s even talked about wanting to get some work done on her boobs and butt, which has totally sent Courteney over the edge,” they say.

“She can’t believe what she’s hearing and is seriously concerned that Jen’s going to end up looking like a Real Housewife if she doesn’t do some sort of intervention. She’s told her as much, but Jen just laughs it off and says anything she gets done will be subtle and no one will be able to tell. But what she doesn’t realise is that she’s already got a skewed vision of what is normal.
“She’s teetering right on the edge of looking very unnatural when it comes to all the stuff she’s had done on her face. If she starts getting plastic surgery on her body people too it’s going to be a disaster. Courteney is begging her to do something about this unhealthy habit before it’s too late.”
