We may be used to seeing our favourite celebrities glammed up, but they have been opening up about their first time getting undressed with others. And it turns out these famous faces had just as much of an awkward first time as the rest of us when it came to sex.

PRINCE HARRY
The Duke of Sussex opened up about losing his virginity in his controversial 2023 memoir Spare, admitted he had had sex for the first time aged 17 in 2021. He wrote that he had lost his virginity in a field behind a pub to an ‘older woman’ who ‘liked horses.’ Harry said, ‘She treated me not unlike a young stallion.’ The woman in question Sasha Walpole, who is two years older than him, later came forward and said, ‘The sex was passionate and sparky.’

CHER
The icon wrote about ‘loaning out’ her virginity at the age of 14 in her memoir, telling readers she had sex with her older boyfriend before dumping him in an act of revenge. After he ditched her to go to Bob’s Big Boy with friends, she says, ‘I was so angry at being dismissed, I decided to, if not lose, loan out my virginity to him. I asked him, “Is that it? Are we finished?” Then I told him to go home and never come back.’

CAMILA CABELLO
Former Fifth Harmony singer Camila opened up on the sweet way she lost her virginity to her ex, and first, boyfriend dating coach Matthew Hussey in her early twenties. Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast, she said, ‘That was my first time having sex. First lovemaking was at 20, 21…It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful.’ The Senorita hitmaker added, ‘He was a really great person. It was like the perfect first relationship.’

DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON
He may be the highest paid actor in the world right now, but The Rock’s first time was perhaps even more awkward than the rest of us. He told Playboy, ‘I was 14, in a park in the middle of the night, and right before I was going to show her why they call me the Rock, a cop car appeared, the red light came on, and it was horribly embarrassing.’ He added losing his on-screen virginity in The Scorpion King ‘pales in comparison.’

REBEL WILSON
Pitch Perfect star Rebel didn’t lose her virginity until she was 35 and to her ex Mickey Gooch – who she didn’t tell it was her first time. The actress – who is now married to wife Ramona Agruma – surprised him (and the world) when she fessed up in her autobiography Rebel Rising. She wrote, ‘I didn’t want to live my life without experiencing sex. Experiencing love. Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes, I lost my virginity to you.’

MILEY CYRUS
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Miley said she lost her virginity to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth aged 16 but lied about it for eight years. She said, ‘I lied and said that he wasn’t the first, so I didn’t seem like a loser. He said, “Oh, who have you had sex with,” and I couldn’t think of anyone, so I just made somebody up that I knew but we had never actually had sex before.’ She finally told Liam she had lied when she was 24.

ANGELINA JOLIE
Angelina says she lost her virginity at the age of 14 – and turned to violence because the sex ‘wasn’t enough.’ She told OK! magazine, ‘In a moment of wanting to feel closer to my boyfriend I grabbed a knife and cut him. He cut me back. We had an exchange of something, and we were covered in blood, my heart was racing. Then whenever I felt trapped, I’d cut myself. I have a lot of scars.’

KIM KARDASHIAN
Reality star Kim opened up on her first time – and how mom Kris Jenner had supported her – during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. She said, ‘When I did want to have sex the first time I was almost 15…I was like, “I think I’m going to, or I want to,” and she [Kris] was like, “OK, so this is what we’re going to do, we’re going to put you on birth control,” and she was, like, really open and honest with me.’ It has been widely reported that she lost her virginity to Michael Jackson’s nephew TJ.

JOE JONAS
Growing up, the Jonas Brothers were all about their clean-cut image complete with purity rings. But Joe has opened up about losing his virginity at 20 to then-girlfriend Ashley Greene. He said, ‘I didn’t have any condoms. So I went to our drummer Jack’s room — who was my roommate at the time — and I demolished his room looking for them. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished.’

COURTENEY COX
Friends star Courteney says she’s ‘proud’ to say she lost her virginity at the age of 21 to a man she had been dating for a long time. During an interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show she said, ‘I didn’t learn anything, my mom never talked to me about one thing that I should’ve known. I shouldn’t probably say this, but I will. I was a virgin until I was 21. I think we can be proud of that.’
