Glamming up in purple sequins with her hair characteristically swept back into a sleek bun that showed off her features, Khloe Kardsahian looked gorgeous last week as she attended the Perfume Awards in Germany to swoop up a gong for her own brand. 

However fans were quick to draw similarities between Khloe, 40, and her mum, Kris Jenner, 69, with the two, who are almost three decades apart in age, appearing to increasingly morph into each other.

‘That 3rd pic is the most I’ve seen you look identical to Kris,’ wrote one fan, to which Khloe replied, ‘Oh what a compliment!’ 

And a source tells us that Khloe’s uncanny resemblance to her mum comes as no surprise as the ‘momager’ has been advising her five daughters for decades on what surgeries to undergo to boost their looks – and their pay cheques. 

Now, Kris’ bid to beautify her daughters has gone a step further, with the source saying Khloe is so inspired by her mum that the pair are planning on going on surgery sprees together in a bid to look more like sisters than mother and daughter. 

The insider says, ‘Kris has been tutoring her whole family on nips and tucks for many years now. To her it’s just a rite of passage for each of her daughters to get the best possible work done and they’ve always followed their mum’s lead.

‘It’s Khloe who leans on Kris for the most advice, they often go to the doctor’s office together, and they’re constantly comparing notes and trying out new treatments and restorative tricks – especially on their cheeks, eyes and noses. 

‘Khloe tells people she’s proud to look like her mum and Kris takes it as a huge compliment too, but for a lot of folk it’s still OTT and a little creepy.’ 

Kris is famed as the matriarch and ‘momager’ of the multi-billion dollar Kardashian clan, and both she and her daughters have always been clear that when it comes to their reality juggernaut, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, it was the mum-of-six who pulled the strings. 

So it’s little wonder that Khloe wants to emulate her mum, but our source says that what’s concerning fans is Kris’ chequered history of advising Khloe on surgery. 

In 2023, Khloe recalled how, aged just nine years old, she had overheard Kris talking with a friend about how her daughter would need to undergo a rhinoplasty procedure (a nose job) to fix her nose.

Sadly confessing that she never felt ‘good enough’ and felt like ‘the chubby one’ when comparing herself to her sisters, Khloe added, ‘Who knows, if I never heard mom talk about my nose, if I would ever think I needed a nose job?’

She went on to have rhinoplasty in 2021 and has admitted to having ‘injectables’ but hasn’t clarified rumours of a face lift or bum implants. 

Now the source adds, ‘She resisted getting her nose job done for years but finally caved in. Khloe got so much approval from her mum for doing the surgery it set up this really bizarre dynamic where she sees plastic surgery as a way to score points with her mum. 

‘Now that they’ve started going to the doctor together it’s gotten even more twisted because they see their surgeries as a mummy and daughter bonding session.

‘Those close to Khloe fear that her recent procedures are just a further bid to win Kris’ affection, which is incredibly sad.’ 

While the Kardashians have always been candid about the price they pay to look good, undergoing everything from boob jobs to vampire facials, Khloe was hit with yet more speculation over her surgeries in November after she posted a series of heavily filtered snaps on social media. 

‘I can’t even keep up with her face anymore,’ wrote one fan, while another added, ‘It must be exhausting always chasing perfection.’ 

Meanwhile fans gushed over Kris’ new makeover on social media last month, remarking that, ahead of her 70th birthday in November, she is looking ‘younger and younger’, even comparing her to the central character of the film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. 

But the source says that rather than worry they are going overboard in their relentless pursuit of anti-ageing, Kris and Khloe are content with cheerleading each other to go ‘under the knife’. 

The insider says, ‘Khloe and Kris don’t see anything weird about it at all, and in their world, where plastic surgery is so normalised, no one really questions it, at least not to their faces

‘But the worry for a lot of people is that they’re going to go way overboard because they can’t seem to see the reality of what they’re doing to themselves. They tell each other they look fantastic and they believe it, and that keeps them going back for more.’ 

However the insider reveals there could be a much darker side to Khloe’s obsession as she competes with her sisters – Kim, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie – to be Kris’ ‘favourite’ child. 

Kourtney, 46, Kim, 44, Khloe and their brother Rob, 38, lost their father, famed lawyer Robert Kardashian, in 2003. 

Previously joking that her preferred daughter can change ‘daily’, Kris was strapped to a lie detector machine during The Late Show with James Cordon in February and quickly confessed that ‘Kylie’ was her favourite. 

‘I can’t go home, ‘Kris cringed, while Kylie added, ‘I already knew the answer’. 

Now our source adds, ‘There has always been so much competition between the girls over their mum’s affection and that is something Kris has fed into heavily over the years. 

‘For her, having her kids compete for her love is the ultimate ego boost and to this day it’s something she encourages. 

‘The girls have all fallen into the trap of trying to be her favourite, but lately Khloe is the most obsessed and is constantly trying to prove herself to Kris to reach the top spot.’
