Her sexy outfits and shock lesbian kiss at the American Music Awards last week may have had fans divided, but the question on everyone’s lips right now is: What did Ben Affleck think?

It’s been five months since their bombshell divorce was finalised, just two-and-half years since the couple said ‘I do’ in a reunion that fans had hoped would be JLo’s fairy tale ending.

But while the A list pair are no longer husband and wife, their initial sizzling chemistry was so strong that JLo, 55, and Ben, 52, gravitated towards each other almost two decades after their original split in 2004.

And now a source tells us that JLo’s sexy ‘revenge’ on Ben – which saw her passionately snog both a male and a female backing dancer on stage – certainly had its desired effect on her ex, who was left ‘swooning’ over how hot she looked.

The insider tells us, ‘Ben tuned into the AMAs and was swooning over J.Lo and how hot she looked that night. He says it’s staggering just how ageless she is, and he loves that she’s willing to push the envelope and step out in these ultra sexy, flesh baring outfits.

‘Ever since the divorce everyone knows how JLo’s been on this mission to show Ben what he’s missing and in that respect she’s definitely succeeded – especially at a time when he’s lacking any ‘sexy time’ in his life right now.’

In a series of gorgeous and revealing outfits that rivalled THAT Versace dress, JLo also went a step further, announcing that she was ‘free’ and ‘happy’ with her newly single life, also dropping that she’s set to return to Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas for another residency this winter.

And the source says that, despite his own low-key vibe when it comes to style, ‘diva’ JLo’s dedication to glamour has always proved a huge attraction for Ben.

Marking her 52nd birthday just three months after their reunion back in April 2021, JLo shared a series of steamy snaps, one of which showed her and Ben sharing a passionate kiss. JLo, naturally, didn’t hold back from her all-out glamour, wearing a tiny orange bikini accessorised with smoky eyes and a chain of gold necklaces.

Now the insider tells us, ‘Ben has always found JLo’s love of glamour a real turn-on, even now he privately admits she was the sexiest gal he’s ever dated. One of his big things that swung it for him in the first place was her confidence and the fact she’s willing to flaunt her sexiness for everyone to see.

‘It was a huge kick that he had this ultimate trophy girlfriend then wife, with all these guys drooling over her and saying how lucky he was to be the one taking her home.’

However, after two years of marriage, their relationship soured, with rumours that JLo’s love of the limelight and the ‘drama’ surrounding her mega stardom had become too much for camera-shy Ben, who has always been honest about how he loathes the promotional part of his job.

On appearing in JLo’s documentary, This Is Me Now…A Love Story, Ben recalled, ‘My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers… And I think the thing that I said in that documentary…where I said, ‘You don’t marry a ship captain and then say, ‘Well, I don’t like going out in the water.’ You’ve got to own what you knew going into any relationship.’

But despite their undeniable attraction to one another, the source says Ben – who shares Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Sam, 13, with his first wife, Jennifer Garner – won’t willingly return to the ‘fame circus’ that surrounded JLo.

They tell us, ‘Their sex life was white hot, too, until things went south in the marriage and they started arguing. Now say from bitter personal experience that it takes a whole lot more than sex and looks to make a romance last for the long term.

‘Ben is very clear that the next woman he dates is going to be someone that’s a lot more low key. He just can’t deal with the fame circus and that’s something that will never change about JLo, it’s who she is.’

And the source says that, after pictures emerged of Ben with his arms wrapped around Jen during a paintballing trip with their children in March, he has been reflecting on the differences between the two main women in his life.

They add, ‘It was almost the opposite situation with Jen Garner, who’s way more conservative and doesn’t go in for all the showing off or extrovert stuff that JLo buzzes off. She’s totally addicted to the attention.’

However, when it comes to keeping in shape, the source says Ben is turning to JLo for fitness inspiration.

Despite leaving fans swooning with his iconic ‘dishevelled and moody’ vibes, a source previously told us that Ben has been forcing himself to smarten up and shape up in a bid to appeal to a younger generation of women after it was reported earlier this year that he has started ‘casually dating’ again.

A source told us in April, ‘When he was with JLo she was always pushing him to get in the gym and workout and that definitely made him more critical of himself. He’s been working out and dieting because he’s worried about how he’ll feel when he does actually strip down in front of a much younger woman. He doesn’t want to feel like a pot-bellied, middle-aged man.’

Now our source adds, ‘Ben is both impressed and dazzled by how hot and glamorous JLo is. He’s in awe of how hard she works and finds it inspiring, it shows him that age doesn’t have to be an excuse to let things go. She’s in the best shape of her life and she’s nearly 56 years old so there’s no reason Ben can’t push himself harder in the gym.

‘Her appearance at the AMAs showed that she’s definitely stepped up at the gym and Ben definitely gives her credit for it. He always says she’s got the most banging body – but that doesn’t mean he’s looking to get back together.’
