Back to his characteristically smooth self as he hit the red carpet for the premiere of his F1 racing flick last week, Brad Pitt’s down-to-earth, open and chatty manner with gathering reporters and fans was a huge shift for the star, who for so long has been living in the shadow of his toxic split from Angelina Jolie.

And joining him for the ride was Brad’s girlfriend of three years, jewellery designer Ines de Ramon, 32, who, following the finalisation of his divorce in December, has been a constant presence by his side – even prompting Brad to make a rare comment about his personal life.

‘It takes two,’ he said when questioned whether he was happy to be celebrating the event with Ines.

However, with the couple maintaining their privacy for the first months of their relationship and only making their red carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival last September, Ines’ growing presence in the life of the double Oscar winner, 61, who has twice been voted ‘the sexiest man alive’, has seen her newly burdened with the intense scrutiny that comes with living in the limelight.

And with fans already comparing her with Brad’s famous ex-wives, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina, a source tells Closer how Ines has understandably been feeling the heat, and is now even considering ‘plumping’ her pout in a bid to pursue the glamour that Angelina has always seemed to naturally ooze.

The insider says, ‘Brad has given Ines de Ramon full access to his style squad, as we previously reported, and in a rather creepy turn of events she’s now considering plumping her lips and overhauling her style in an apparent bid to look like a younger version of his ex Angelina Jolie.

‘Brad’s really into fuller lips and he talked to Ines about getting injections. She’s always had hang-ups about her thin lips and if it boosts romance with Brad, then she could well be swayed. She’s really into him right now, and friends say he’s really happy, too.’

They continue, ‘Brad is obsessed with perfection. He’s always doing something to improve his own looks, whether it’s a new laser treatment or meeting with his stylist to pick out the latest fashions. Keeping up his perfect image is a huge part of his day-to-day life and Ines is now a part of his image. She has a lot to live up to.’

Ahead of their sudden split in 2016 – the genesis of what rolled on to become one of the most toxic and public celebrity divorces in history – Angelina and Brad had undoubtedly shared a sizzling chemistry.

After meeting on the set of 2005 comedy thriller Mr and Mrs Smith, and following Brad’s divorce from Jennifer that same year, the pair went on to become one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous couples in Hollywood.

And with a partner named the ‘sexiest woman in the world’, Brad was the first to boast about their sex life, explicitly revealing the different locations they liked to have sex – including the stone grotto behind the pool in their former LA home – with Brad later describing Ange as ‘still a bad girl. Delightfully so.’

So it comes as little surprise that friends of Ines’ have expressed their concern that the laid back jewellery designer appears to be ‘morphing’ into the A-list sex symbol – even noting that her wardrobe, which used to be full of  floaty florals, is beginning to mirror the tailored and sexy style of Angelina, too.

The source says, ‘Friends think it’s kind of weird that she’s morphing into an Angie copycat. It’s not just the plumped-up lips; Ines is borrowing Angelina’s red-carpet style and choosing designers that Angelina has favoured.

‘It’s well-known Fendi is a favorite of Angelina’s, and it’s perhaps no coincidence Ines was styled up in a Fendi gown, Fendi heels and Fendi handbag at the ‘F1’ premiere in Venice. Even the way Ines wears her hair and the way she poses are ripped out of Angelina’s fashion page.’

Their recent red carpet appearances – which have seen Ines experiment with a much more neutral palette similar to Angelina’s – have marked a turning point for the pair. While Ines was previously married to The Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley, and accustomed to attending Hollywood events, the stratospheric level of Brad’s fame has seen her profile reach new heights.

And the source now reveals that her newfound fame hasn’t come without some serious self-doubt.

The insider says, ‘Ines was married to Paul Wesley for years so it’s not like Hollywood and the red carpet were new to her, but there’s really nothing that can compare to the level of fame and attention that comes with dating arguably the biggest movie star in the world.
They say, ‘The pressure is enormous, it’s no wonder she’s feeling the need to update her look. She’s a gorgeous woman but having a million pictures taken from every angle is tough for anyone and she fears she won’t ever compare to Angelina.’

Behind every great man in Hollywood is also a slick operation, comprised of various experts from stylists, to PR advisors, agents and personal staff, and with Ines now fully a part of ‘Brand Brad’, the source says there is now no escaping ‘the machine’ that runs a tight ship to ensure Brad stays at the top.

They explain, ‘It’s not just Brad who has opinions, he’s got a whole team that weighs in on everything in his life, so now Ines and her appearance are a part of those conversations as well.

‘They all know Brad’s preference which makes it extra weird because it’s almost like she has to constantly audition to fill the part of his ‘perfect girlfriend’. A lot of people have noticed this shift towards looking more and more like Angelina,  who of course many believed was Brad’s ‘perfect match.’

Now friends are urging Ines to make sure she retains exactly who she is, and those close to her are reassuring her that she is enough and not to go chasing the ‘perfect’ image of Angelina.

But the source warns that, as smitten with Ines as Brad appears to be, she’s happy for her style to evolve if it means staying by Brad’s side.

They add, ‘Friends are reassuring Ines that she’s gorgeous and that Brad is totally into her, but of course when you’re dating the hottest guy in the world there is always going to be that element of doubt.

‘Being with Brad has turned her life upside down in the best possible way and she wants to hang on to this fairytale –whatever it takes.’
