They’ve had a whirlwind romance since October 2023, and Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper proved that they’re still going strong during a recent getaway to Italy. The loved-up couple couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they enjoyed a yacht trip, where they were joined by celebrity friends including Benedict Cumberbatch, Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerly, as well as Bradley’s seven-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine.

But sources have revealed that despite their PDA-filled holiday, pals are becoming increasingly worried that it could all end in heartbreak, with the supermodel wanting more commitment from the actor.

‘A lot of people have suspected this is a showmance for Bradley. He talks a great game, he definitely dotes on Gigi and they’re great companions, but she wants more than that from him and has for some time now. He seems to have this agenda where he has the pretty girl on his arm but he’s keeping her dangling,’ an insider says.

‘They’re the perfect fit as far as their social circle and status are concerned, plus they have a lot of friends in common. Gigi’s friends know she doesn’t want to be that no-strings girlfriend. She’s dropped endless hints with Bradley and made it clear she’d like a second baby but he’s very much a go with the flow and one day at a time guy. He’s putting her off, and ultimately, it’s going to come to a head. It’s just a question of time. She won’t sit around and be dangled. She’s been put in promise land and as happy as she is, it’s kind of aggravating.’

Gigi, 29, was first linked to Bradley, 49, towards the end of last year when they were spotted grabbing food in New York – and things have gone from strength to strength ever since. In January, they headed to a private dinner in Los Angeles after the Golden Globes alongside Bradley’s mum, Gloria Campano, with sources revealing at the time that she and Gigi “chatted” throughout the evening. And in March, the pair were seen kissing for the first time while out with Gigi’s friends, Queer Eye stars Tan France and Antoni Porowski, in New York.  

Her relationship with Bradley came after she embarked on a brief romance with actor Leonardo DiCaprio in September 2022. It was previously reported that Gigi “meets up with Leo when she can” but things between them “will never be serious”. Prior to that, she dated former One Direction star Zayn Malik on and off for nearly five years, but they called it quits for good in 2021 – a year after they welcomed their daughter Khai.

Meanwhile, Bradley was in a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk for four years before their split in 2019. In 2022, rumours swirled that the pair were reconciling after enjoying a holiday together. While things didn’t work out, they remain on good terms to co-parent their daughter Lea.

Opening up about fatherhood, Bradley said, ‘Honestly, I’m not sure I’d be alive if I wasn’t a dad. I just needed someone to say, “We’re gonna drop this massive anchor,” and I’m like, “Why? We’re speeding. We just got an upgrade on the boat and I know where the wind is coming in.” And they’re like, “No, there’s a tsunami coming and you need an anchor and we’re gonna drop it. This is going to dictate everything you do from now on.”‘ He added, ‘I want her to have as much foundation as she can. I think about how my relationship with my daughter impacts her growth and the journey she’s gonna be on.’

Now, our source says that Gigi sees a long-term future with Bradley, and as well as expanding her brood with him, she’d love to get married. ‘They’re coming up on their one-year anniversary and things are really good, as long as Gigi doesn’t try to pin down anything about their future. Whenever she starts asking about where he sees things going Bradley gets very evasive and wants to change the subject, which is obviously not a great sign,’ the source explains.

‘She isn’t at the point where she’s demanding he put a ring on it, but she’d like some assurance from him that he sees them heading in that direction. She’s turning 30 in six months and she always thought she’d be married by this age, so it does stress her out to be in a relationship and not even know if marriage is the end game.’ 

They add that Gigi is feeling even more pressure from her mum, Yolana, who is said to be desperate to see her walk down the aisle. The source tells us, ‘It doesn’t help that her mom is always asking her what the plan is. Yolanda is very anxious for Gigi to get married and doesn’t think she should let Bradley keep her waiting for too long. Gigi gets annoyed when her mom puts the pressure on, but it’s hard to blame Yolanda for worrying. Bradley’s almost 50, at this point he should know what he wants and the fact that he’s so commitment shy is cause for concern for a lot of people in Gigi’s life, not just Yolanda.’

They continue, ‘Her friends all like Bradley, but they see a lot of red flags, just look at his history. He was with Irina for almost five years and never put a ring on her finger. Gigi has plenty of friends in common with Irina and they’ve all warned her not get her hopes up that he’ll be any different this time around.

‘It would be fine if Gigi didn’t have a timeline, but she really does want to get married and have more kids, so if she’s not smart about it, Bradley could waste crucial years. Most people say he’s another George Clooney who won’t actually settle down until he’s closer to 60. And Gigi can’t wait another decade – she needs to move a lot faster than that.’
