He’s been married three times and has dated some of Hollywood’s biggest names, but Tom Cruise has kept his love life strictly private for the past decade. 

That is, sources say, until now. 

Following a meal together in London’s Soho on Valentine’s Day – where they were spotted getting takeout food before leaving in a taxi together – insiders say Tom, 62, has been spending a lot of time ‘wooing’ actress Ana De Armas, 36, and is pulling out of the stops to impress her.

The insider says, ‘Tom has turned on the charm and it is fully on. Right now, he’s locked on this mission of sweeping Ana off her feet so he’s going all out to impress her. She’s getting the royal treatment from him – private jet, a string of high-priced gifts like designer bags and couture gowns. 

‘Tom’s definitely got a new spring in his step since he started spending time with her. They’ve been spending time together in the U.S. and Europe and he’s been doing everything he can to woo her. 

‘He seems very smitten but of course only time will tell if this goes where Tom is hoping.’ 

Tom was last linked to Russian influencer and socialite, Elsina Khayrova, 37, in late 2023. It was reported in February last year that he had ‘cooled things off’ but the pair remain on good terms. 

He was also linked to his Mission Impossible co-star Hayley Atwell, 43, in 2020 – six years after splitting with actress Katie Holmes. 

And while sources close to Tom have recently revealed that the A-lister has been meeting with Ana on a strictly professional basis, the insider says their relationship, at least for Tom, is beginning to blossom into something else. 

They say, ‘His official line right now is that he wants to get to know her for work purposes, so that they can have a genuine bond on screen, but it’s no secret his goal is a lot more personal than that. 

‘It’s a delicate situation because he does want to work with her, the timing for it all has to be right. When people ask Tom if he and Ana have something going on he always insists that it’s strictly professional but it’s patently obvious he has a huge crush on her.’ 

‘The way he praises her is a dead giveaway. Anytime her name comes up he raves about how talented and naturally beautiful she is. He is very obviously bewitched by her.’

Meanwhile, Ana is no stranger to dating high profile men. In 2020, she dated Ben Affleck for almost a year after meeting on the set of Deep Water in 2019, before moving on with Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis, with whom she split with late last year. 

While the source says that Ana’s intentions are currently unclear, they reveal how Tom has already taken the next step and introduced her to the two children he shares with his second wife, Nicole Kidman, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30. 

And it seems the kids have both given their seal of approval for their dad to ask Ana out. 

The insider adds, ‘They totally trust their dad’s taste and judgment. He doesn’t bring just anyone into his inner circle, especially when it comes to his kids. But he’s made a big point to include them as he gets to know Ana and she’s made a fantastic impression.

‘She’s very down to earth and authentic, which is what matters most to Bella and Connor. They’re great at sniffing out people that are just trying to use their dad, so it means a lot that Ana has passed the test with them and gotten their seal of approval. 

‘He’s pitching his movie hard but make no mistake he’s pitching himself and the life they could have together even harder and if something does happen, Bella and Connor will be all for it.’

Tom, who has been married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990, Nicole from 1990 to 2001 and Katie from 2006 to 2012 hasn’t always been so secretive about his romances. 

In 2005, he famously jumped up and down with happiness on Oprah Winfrey’s couch, declaring that he was in love with his new girlfriend – Dawson’s Creek star Katie. 

But just six years later, after welcoming daughter Suri, who is now 18, Tom’s world was turned upside down when Katie divorced him, reportedly fleeing to New York with their daughter to escape the clutches of the Church of Scientology – of which Tom is a prominent figure and devotee. 

Since then, he has remained very low key about his romances, with only Elsina and Hayley being rumoured girlfriends. 

And now the insider says those close to the star are shocked by his seemingly public wooing of Ana, but wouldn’t be surprised if he were to slow things down and let her take the lead to save himself from getting hurt. 

They say, ‘He’s a little gun shy when it comes to dating after all the failed romances he’s had, so he may be happy letting this simmer while they really get to know each other.’ 

Ana was spotted kissing Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of the Cuban President, in December, and the source says it’s currently unclear whether she sees a strictly professional future with Tom, or something more personal. 

The source says, ‘She’s certainly encouraging the attention and is very excited about working with him. She’s said for years Tom is one of her idols, she loves that he does his own stunts. It’s no wonder Tom’s got his hopes up. That being said, she’s still keeping things professional and he’s following her lead. 

‘He’s wooing her right now but he’s patient. He’s very invested in making a film together but more than that he wants her as his leading lady off-screen.’
