And when she’s not using them, she’s sitting back and admiring them. Miley said, ‘I like sex toys. I buy them for myself, but I end up using them for interior design. Sex and interior design actually go hand in hand. I’ll buy a dildo, and [for] more than its operation. I don’t really wanna get in there with it because I love the way it looks on my table!’

EVA LONGORIA
The Desperate Housewives star admits she was a bit of a late starter when it comes to sex toys. Eva only got her first vibrator aged 27 – but there was no looking back once she got going and she admits she only started to enjoy sex after discovering the delights of solo play.
She said, ‘You get better at sex when you know your own body. How are you going to expect a man to know your body when you don’t know what pleases you? It’s really important to have a healthy sexuality and to be open about it. It’s not a taboo. It’s normal!’
And Eva, who claims that her favourite toy is a Rabbit Vibrator, found herself being gifted lots of toys after speaking out about her passion for pocket rockets. ‘After my vibrator quote was published, I literally got boxes and boxes of vibrators and pocket rockets. So I was constantly giving them away. Even before that, I would give them as gifts to girlfriends for their birthdays, and they’d be so excited. They scream with joy when they unwrap it!’

LADY GAGA
She’s had to keep her Poker Face more than once – as Gaga has been gifted sex toys quite a few times. In Australia, a fan threw a silver vibrator onto the stage, leading the singer to quip, ‘Are you telling me I’m not getting enough action? Was this moral support? Does it have batteries in it’. Gaga was also gifted a pink Bullet Vibrator by her dancers at a backstage party for her 28th birthday.
However, in an interview in 2009 she revealed that the toys had likely come in handy, as she admitted, ‘I am single and a workaholic and very lonely, but I’m good. Me and my vibrator are very happy!’

Ever wondered how Mel got her ‘zig-a-zig-ahhhhh’? Opening up about her favourite sex toy, the Spice Girl revealed, ‘I use a little vibrator called a Pocket Rocket and it does the trick every time. The good thing about sex toys is you can use them by yourself or with your partner.  My advice to women who are unfulfilled in the bedroom is to invest in a sex toy!’ But there’s clearly not enough choice in an already packed market as Mel said she was ‘frustrated’ and was even considering launching her own range of toys. That’s one way to spice up your sex life! 

JADA PINKETT SMITH
Her ‘are they/aren’t they?’ situation with husband Will Smith appears to be ongoing – but while the couple are said to be living apart, Jada certainly won’t be feeling frustrated. In an interview, she said, ‘People are shocked about my love for using sex toys. I know damn well I’m not the only one that uses them! Nobody has to feel any shame about it but I’m still surprised how people relate to sex, specifically female sexuality – it’s still such a taboo.’

Following her separation from the then Prince Charles, the Princess of Wales apparently relied on a pick-me-up in the form of a vibrator that she nicknamed Le Gadget.

I think because they’ve got lithium batteries in you shouldn’t really put them in your hand luggage. She added, ‘Sex toys are still seen as a taboo. Female pleasure in itself is a taboo subject. The only way to make subjects no longer taboo is to speak about them openly, frequently and without shame or guilt.’
