Dressed in a long white dress complimented by her waved hair, Niall Horan’s long-term girlfriend, Amelia Woolley looked every part the blushing bride when the loved-up couple attended the Wimbledon Men’s Final last month.

And after five years of dating after first meeting in 2020 and making their debut as a couple at Niall’s Horan & Rose charity gala the following year, a source reveals that the pair are set to ‘go the distance’ – with fans’ wishes finally coming to fruition with the first One Direction wedding!

An insider tells Closer, ‘Niall and Amelia really look like they’re going to go the distance. This is by far the most serious relationship he’s had in his life. Right now, they spend every free second they have with one another, and the dynamic just works.

‘They’ve also been properly tested as a couple, dealing with everything from Niall’s crazy travel schedule to Liam Payne’s untimely death and leaning on each other during the good times and bad.’

Now, they say, while the duo are notoriously private, only attending a handful of public events including the charity gala, an appearance at F1 and Wimbledon this year, our source reveals how Niall, 31, and Amelia, 28, could become man and wife as soon as next year, with pals already urging the now solo artist to pop The Question.

‘Pals are convinced they’ll finally be married within the next year,’ they tell us.

‘When you look at how happy they are together, it’s created a great foundation for them to start a family in the near future. Everyone in his life is telling him to get off his butt and pop the question. He says he wants to marry her so now it’s a matter of taking the plunge.’

After meeting in London where Amelia lived for her job as a shoe designer for Nicholas Kirkwood, the couple have gone from strength to strength, with Niall revealing that the love songs on his latest album were inspired by her.

‘Usually, the love songs are heartbreak songs, so it’s nice to be able to write better, you know, happier stuff… I’m here to write what’s on my brain, and love happens to be one of those things that’s flying around me,’ he gushed.

When later asked if he would describe himself as ‘madly in love’, Niall replied, ‘That’s dead right’.

And the pair took their romance to the next level in April of this year when Niall splashed out £10 million on a six bedroom ‘family home’ in West London, close to the likes of Holly Willoughby and Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

He and Amelia have now officially moved in together and have sparked speculation that they’ve also welcomed a new addition – an adorable Jack Russell –after being spotted out walking the pup last October.

Now our source tells us, ‘They moved into their new place together earlier this year, it’s a massive house with six bedrooms in West London and it’s no secret he sees it as the perfect family home.

‘There’s plenty of space, a garden for their dog, and it’s in one of the best areas of the city.’

Amelia’s low-key lifestyle and their private romance marks a distinct change from the other members of One Direction, who have all experienced very high profile relationships.

While Liam Payne dated Cheryl Cole for two years until 2018, Harry Styles’ most famous romance was with actress and director Olivia Wilde, and Zayn Malik welcomed his daughter with supermodel ex, Gigi Hadid.

Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson went public with former Love Island star turned documentary-maker, Zara McDermott, earlier this week.

However, the source says that former hockey player Amelia’s down-to-earth nature and traditional values have proved a real guiding force for Niall after being part of the world’s biggest boy band for six years ahead of their split in 2016.

The insider says, ‘Even though she has supermodel good looks, Amelia is a pretty traditional girl at heart and she’s steered Niall in the direction of building a future together and not getting distracted by the small stuff.

Their decision to lead a simpler lifestyle in their leafy London neighbourhood came just six months after the tragic and untimely passing of Niall’s band mate and friend Liam Payne.

Liam died suddenly in a tragic accident at a hotel in Buenos Aires at the age of just 31, just two weeks after flying out to the Argentinian capital, where he attended one of Liam’s concerts.

And weeks later, Amelia was by Niall’s side as they attended Liam’s funeral alongside his loved ones to pay their respects to the father-of-one.

Now the source says that overcoming such a tragedy has only brought the coupe closer together.

They tell us, ‘Niall was hit very hard when Liam died and Amelia was such a rock for him, she’s a very grounding force. They’ve been together five years now and have had some pretty big challenges but it’s all just made them more solid.’
