Ben Affleck was photographed smiling as he collected a take-out delivery from his favourite fast food restaurant Jack In The Box last week, but it may be one of his last, as sources say the actor is working hard to tone up and correct his “saggy” butt in the wake of his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.<\/p>\n
After months of speculation, 55-year-old Jennifer filed for divorce from Ben, 52, on the second anniversary of their wedding last month, stating that their relationship had ended in April.<\/p>\n
The pair initially met in 2001 and got engaged in 2002, postponing their wedding in September 2003 and confirming their romance had ended in January 2004.<\/p>\n

Showbiz fans rejoiced when it was reported the pair had been spending time together in April 2021, almost two decades later. They got engaged for a second time in April 2022 and got married in Las Vegas just two months later. They tied the knot once again at Ben’s estate in Georgia in August 2022.<\/p>\n
But the Hollywood fairytale unfortunately didn’t last too long, with reports suggesting they were living separately emerging in May of this year.<\/p>\n
And Ben is now putting together a bulk up body action plan in the hopes of returning to the physique he managed to build up while working on the Batman movies.<\/p>\n
A source tells Closer, “Ben\u2019s always had this Achilles heel when it comes to his workouts \u2013 he keeps up with his cardio and lifts weights at home to keep his upper body tight, mainly because he\u2019s so afraid of letting his pecs turn saggy and developing man boobs. But squatting and leg work isn\u2019t his deal at all, he hates it, so the butt\u2019s droopy as a result and Ben\u2019s kind of buried his head in the sand about the problem until now.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s changing his mind about it now though, the divorce has him wanting to really buff up and get into the best possible shape \u2013 especially now he\u2019s back on the dating scene.”<\/p>\n

Although they are keeping tight-lipped about the status of their reconciliation, Ben has been seen spending time with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s daughter Kathleen, also known as Kick \u2013 who he had a brief romance with before getting back with Jennifer back in 2021.<\/p>\n
However, reports suggest Kick is keen to make it clear they are just friends for now as “she does want to be seen as a mistress.”<\/p>\n
But the rekindled friendship is no doubt motivating Ben to get fit, with our source adding, “The trainer\u2019s coming in, the junk\u2019s being phased out as are the cigarettes, and fixing his rear end is physical priority number one! He may opt for some new tattoos at some point soon, too, but that\u2019s another story.”<\/p>\n
Ben admitted in 2016 that he was “addicted” to tattoos and has a number of inkings, including a colourful phoenix which takes up the entirety of his back.<\/p>\n
The most recent addition to his collection came on Valentine’s Day in 2023, when he got a matching tattoo with his now-ex wife. Ben’s sees two arrows crossing over one another with a “J” and “B” in the cross sections.<\/p>\n

“Ben has never had impressive glutes, but there have been times he\u2019s put in the work where he\u2019s been at least somewhat satisfied with it,” the source emphasises. “But he admits he\u2019s neglected his leg and glute workouts for so long that he\u2019s got a totally flat butt. He can\u2019t even keep his pants up without a belt these days because there\u2019s nothing for them to rest on, it\u2019s like his butt is just an extension of his back.<\/p>\n
“He has what\u2019s known as a computer butt, and it is true, he does spend most days sitting at a desk now that\u2019s producing more than he\u2019s acting. Genetically he\u2019s not really built to have giant glutes so that is part of the problem as well. Still, with hard work he can make some gains. So far, he\u2019s sticking to his promises when it comes to his workouts, he\u2019s going hard in the gym and training the lower half of his body like crazy.<\/p>\n
“Where he’s faltered is his diet. Giving up fast food and cigs is very tough, that\u2019s a work in progress. That being said, he does seem extremely motivated to get into top shape, he wants his Batman body back.”<\/p>\n

Ben’s intense workout plan to get his Batman body was revealed in 2023 as he returned to the role in Zack Snyder\u2019s Justice League: Justice Is Gray. It showed that Ben alternated two days of exercise routines that focused on torso and strength and fitness.<\/p>\n
The first day saw Ben endure a dumbbell farmer’s walk, alternating hanging knee-ups, back bridge, alternating dumbbell reverse lunge, pull-ups and a shoulder bridge before moving onto an airdyne bike sprint, V-grip pulldowns, seated row handle grip, alternating dumbbell open curl and goblet and lateral squats.<\/p>\n
On the second day, Ben would perform an off-bench oblique side crunch, valslide body slide, dumbbell lateral raise, back bridge with march, dumbbell shrug, rear delt machine, a one-leg hip lift and a tricep pushdown followed by dumbbell deadlifts, dumbbell bench press, pec fly and a ball leg curl.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s done it before so it\u2019s certainly achievable and if he does pull it off no doubt it will infuriate J.Lo,” the source says.<\/p>\n
“Considering how hard she pushed him to get him into shape when they were together, and how much he resisted, you can just imagine how much it will bug her if he does it as soon as they split.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ben shared his frustrations at Jennifer being able to “eat whatever she wants” during an interview in 2023.<\/p>\n
He said at the time, “Let me tell you something that’s gonna upset you. Jennifer just eats whatever she wants. Whatever she wants. She eats cookies, ice cream, everything.”<\/p>\n
And earlier this year, one of Jennifer’s trainers revealed that J.Lo “likes to focus on toning her glutes” \u2013 the very area that Ben struggles with.<\/p>\n
