While\u00a0Justin\u00a0Timberlake had hoped his\u00a0Forget Tomorrow World Tour\u00a0would be the band aid he needed to put him back on the pop pedestal, the\u00a0Sexy Back singer was instead hit by reports that his latest series of gigs had been a \u2018trainwreck\u2019.<\/p>\n
Now, several weeks on from when he was forced to cancel the final performance of the South American leg of his tour due to suffering with the flu, sources now tell Closer that\u00a0Justin, 44, has also been spending increasing amounts of time away from his wife of 13-years,\u00a0Jessica\u00a0Biel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The actress, 43, briefly flew in to support him on tour last month, but the insider says\u00a0Jessica\u00a0is now so focused on her new movie,\u00a0Matchbox, that the pair have been forced into a \u2018trial separation\u2019 as\u00a0Justin\u00a0is left alone to pick up the pieces of a year that has been marred with scandal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Justin\u00a0has been down in the dumps about it all, he\u2019s feeling pretty sorry for himself,\u2019 our source says. \u2018His tour is being panned, and he doesn\u2019t know how to cope.\u00a0Jessica\u00a0is usually the one he turns to but she\u2019s having a blast with her new movie. They\u2019re living very separate lives, and she seems to be quite content with that.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018Justin\u00a0wanted her along for the whole tour, but she refused. They\u2019re leading separate lives at this point and\u00a0Justin\u00a0can\u2019t handle it. He\u2019s\u00a0not handling the distance well at all.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
But after being photographed chatting happily with her co-stars on set,\u00a0we\u2019re told Jessica\u00a0is adamant that she \u2018won\u2019t be sucked into any more of\u00a0Justin\u2019s drama\u2019 while she pursues her own projects.<\/p>\n
However, when Jess\u2019 filming wraps up, the insider says the pair are heading for crisis talks as they grapple to find a resolution to their marriage problems.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They say, \u2018There are just so many issues that they\u2019ve never addressed over the years and if they don\u2019t face them now, the resentment will continue to build until it\u2019s completely untenable.<\/p>\n
\u2018Sooner or later, it will all come to a head. However, the past few months\u00a0have seen the tables turn as\u00a0Jessica\u2019s career has taken off after landing her role in\u00a0Matchbox, while\u00a0Justin\u2019s reputation has suffered a series of major blows.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Following the release of his last album, \u2018Everything I Thought It Was\u2019, in 2024, which was widely considered a flop commercially,\u00a0Justin\u00a0was hit by slow ticket sales for his tour, which was blighted by illness and saw the singer postpone one show and cancel another.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Several fans were also disappointed at\u00a0Justin\u2019s insistence on performing his new singles rather than his much-loved pop hits. And while his on-stage gyrating has historically\u00a0left fans swooning,\u00a0Justin\u00a0was reportedly left \u2018humiliated\u2019 during one show when a harness pulled too tightly around his crotch led to several cruel tweets by onlookers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But it seems that\u00a0Jessica\u00a0is unlikely to quickly fly out to\u00a0Justin\u2019s side like she once did, with our source adding, \u2018Jessica\u00a0has really stepped into a new, more empowered role in the relationship, after spending so many years orbiting around\u00a0Justin\u00a0and putting up with his moods.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018The problem is that\u00a0Justin\u00a0hasn\u2019t changed or accepted that she\u2019s not the same woman he married, he\u2019s having a very hard time adjusting to this new normal. But really he needs to take responsibility for his actions.\u2019<\/p>\n

Following a night out with friends,\u00a0Justin\u00a0was reported to have driven through a stop sign and was unable to keep to the right side of the road.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At the time, a source said, \u2018Five years later [following his night out with Alisha] he still can\u2019t seem to control himself when he\u2019s partying. She [Jessica] can\u2019t take much more of this behaviour.\u2019<\/p>\n
Now our source says last summer almost pushed\u00a0Jessica\u00a0to \u2018breaking point\u2019, adding \u2018His arrest for a DWI last summer did nothing to help. She was out of town working at the time, while\u00a0Justin\u00a0was supposed to be keeping things running smoothly at home, and instead he wound up behind bars.<\/p>\n
