The penultimate day of 2024 marked a huge milestone for Angelina Jolie after finalising her divorce from Brad Pitt after a gruelling eight-year battle –\u00a0 one of the most toxic Hollywood has ever seen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But with summer approaching, and with it her and Brad\u2019s twins’ Vivienne and Knox\u2019s 17th\u00a0birthday on 12th\u00a0July, a source tells us Angelina will also be celebrating a huge \u2018f**k you\u2019 towards Brad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Since filing for divorce in 2016, Angelina \u2013 who also shares Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, and Shiloh, 18, with Brad – has been candid about how she has been forced to live a much more \u2018caged\u2019 life amidst their on-going disputes over their children\u2019s custody agreement, which stipulates that she must remain close to Brad in LA.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But with their twins\u2019 birthday marking the one year countdown until they officially become adults next summer \u2013 thus gaining their full legal rights and responsibilities and can choose whether or not to see Brad themselves \u2013 the insider says Angelina already has itchy feet as she counts down the days to her total freedom from Brad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The actress-turned-director, 49, has long since fallen out of love with Hollywood, the town she grew up in, calling it a \u2018shallow place\u2019 that is \u2018not healthy\u2019 to live in.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And with reports suggesting a potential move to Cambodia \u2013 8000 miles from LA \u2013 our \u00a0source now says, \u2018She feels like he\u2019s kept her as a prisoner all these years and is furious with Brad because of it. She practically spits nails whenever he is mentioned. But finally, there is a glimmer of hope and she can start to look to the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018She has a little over one year and she\u2019ll be able to move anywhere in the world without Brad\u2019s permission and have the freedom she craves. Meanwhile, we recently reported how Brad has been left feeling \u2018helpless\u2019 as he becomes further isolated from his children, and has reportedly blamed Angelina for \u2018sabotaging\u2019 him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A source revealed earlier this month, \u2018Brad has feared for years that Angelina has been sabotaging him in front of the children. He feels helpless and pretty much hopeless at this point.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
However Brad has been travelling extensively for his work, filming his\u00a0F1\u00a0movie in Britain, Las Vegas, Mexico City, Zandvoort, Italy, Belgium, Japan and Hungary before flying to New Zealand in March to film for\u00a0Heart of the Beast.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Angelina, who admitted a decade ago that she hasn\u2019t felt the \u2018same attraction\u2019 to acting since her mother\u2019s passing in 2007, has stepped back from the limelight to focus on her children and her humanitarian work.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And now our source says she\u2019s \u2018furious\u2019 at Brad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The insider explains, \u2018He\u2019s spent so much of the past few years over in Europe, working on his\u00a0F1\u00a0movie and now he\u2019s in New Zealand for God knows how long. Yet he sees no issue with demanding she stay living in LA.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Even the kids feel it\u2019s cruel of him to keep her chained to the city she doesn\u2019t want to be in. But Brad doesn\u2019t see it that way. He\u2019s still trying to forge a relationship with his kids.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
The actor\u2019s estrangement from his children follows an alleged altercation between the former couple\u2019s eldest son Maddox, then 15, on the family\u2019s plane just a day before Angelina filed for divorce.<\/p>\n
\u00a0While the accusations were kept largely under wraps at the time, they were explosively revealed during Brad and Angelina\u2019s dispute over their French vineyard in 2022, when Angelina\u2019s lawyer alleged that Brad \u2018grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her\u2019 before he \u2018choked one of the children and struck another in the face\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018And besides, after the way she\u2019s treated him he\u2019s certainly not interested in doing anything that makes her life easier. He insists he\u2019s not doing this out of spite or for vengeance, but he also doesn\u2019t see any reason to bend to her will.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018She can move when they\u2019re of age, and he won\u2019t budge on that no matter how many times her lawyers float the idea.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
But with their 17th\u00a0fast approaching, Angelina\u2019s dream of freedom from her toxic divorce is becoming a fast-approaching reality and the source says she has already begun scouting for new places to live.\u00a0<\/p>\n
