Notoriously private, and incredibly powerful in Hollywood, his relationship with Suri, 19, who is a doppelganger of her mum, has remained his biggest challenge, with reports suggesting that the father and daughter have not met in over a decade, despite Tom\u2019s reported hopes for a reunion. <\/p>\n
Yet while the chasm between Tom, 62, and Suri appears to be ever-growing, with his youngest daughter changing her surname to her mother\u2019s middle-name \u2018Noelle\u2019 last year \u2013 his relationship with another prominent woman in his life, new \u2018girlfriend\u2019 Ana De Armas, appears to be heating up. <\/p>\n
While those close to Tom initially insisted his relationship with Ana, 37, was \u2018work focused\u2019 after they were first spotted enjoying dinner in London together on Valentine\u2019s Day, their romance has sped up in recent weeks, with Tom pulling out all of his dating tricks to woo the actress. <\/p>\n

However, while we previously reported that Tom\u2019s older adopted children \u2013 Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30 \u2013 from his marriage to Nicole Kidman, had already met and \u2018approved\u2019 of their dad\u2019s new girlfriend, sources now tell us that Tom has placed a \u2018blanket ban\u2019 on Ana ever bringing up Suri\u2019s name in conversation. <\/p>\n
The insider says, \u2018Tom runs a very tight ship when it comes to his personal life and he\u2019s made it clear to Ana from the start that if she wants to be with him, there are rules, and the biggest one is \u2018Don\u2019t bring up Suri\u2019. <\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t clear at which point Tom and Katie\u2019 relationship took a U-turn, but Tom has since confirmed (in court documents) that Katie had \u2018asserted\u2019 that one of the reasons behind their divorce had been \u2018to protect Suri from the Church of Scientology\u2019.<\/p>\n
Suri was six years old at the time, and rumours of children being sent to Scientology schools and being \u2018drafted\u2019 into the Church\u2019s \u2018Sea Org\u2019 organisation – in which children as young as 12 are allegedly forced to sign a billion-year pledge to the religion \u2013 had hit headlines the previous year. <\/p>\n
It is alleged that to finalise their divorce as rapidly as possible, Katie \u2013 who has always protected her daughter like a lioness \u2013signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement, which would keep her forever silent on what really happened. <\/p>\n
Now the source says that for Tom, who is believed to have \u2018mellowed\u2019 over the past few years amidst his growing physical distance from Scientology\u2019s LA headquarters whilst he filmed in the UK, his past with Suri is still too \u2018painful\u2019 to address. <\/p>\n
Our source says, \u2018His inner circle all know not to bring Suri up under any circumstances, he won\u2019t ever talk about her. Fact is, it\u2019s a very painful topic for Tom and he can\u2019t stand being vulnerable or feeling weak, so he just won\u2019t ever go there, and he won\u2019t tolerate anyone who tries to dig into it.’<\/p>\n
