For almost three decades, Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee-Furness were praised by fans as having one of the most \u2018real\u2019 marriages in Hollywood after navigating the trials and tribulations of fame together during their 27 year marriage. <\/p>\n
Named the \u2018golden couple of Australia\u2019, many were left stunned when the couple announced their shock split last May, vowing that they would enter the new chapter of their lives with \u2018gratitude, love and kindness\u2019. <\/p>\n
But now a year on and the dust has far from settled on their broken marriage, with Deborra appearing to make a huge U-turn in her and Hugh\u2019s seemingly amicable divorce when, last week, she made a statement referencing \u2018betrayal\u2019.<\/p>\n
The actress, 69, told the Daily Mail, \u2018My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It\u2019s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God\/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us..<\/p>\n
She continued, \u2018This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.<\/p>\n
‘It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.’<\/p>\n
Her statement came just four days after Deborra officially filed for divorce in New York \u2013 a legality that has reportedly been delayed due to the former couple, who are parents to children Oscar, 25 and Ava, 19, not being able to agree on how to split his $250 million fortune. <\/p>\n

Insiders have since clarified that Debrorra suspected that he had been involved in an \u2018emotional affair\u2019 with Sutton, whom he met whilst starring in the play \u2018The Music Man\u2019 back in 2022, but added that she had still felt \u2018betrayed\u2019 by the beginnings of their now blossoming romance. <\/p>\n
And after insiders reported that Hugh had been left \u2018heartbroken\u2019 by Debrorra\u2019s bombshell statement, a source now tells us the Deadpool actor now fears this could be just the beginning, and that Deborra could share all of his deepest secrets. <\/p>\n
An insider says, \u2018Deb has kept completely quiet and been very discreet mainly out of respect for the kids and her own self-respect and peace, and she remained dignified during the tricky negotiations, but now the deal is done, by all accounts, and if she wants to speak out, she can. <\/p>\n

\u2018They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement\u2026They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be,\u2019 a source said at the time. <\/p>\n
But timing could be everything when it comes to gaining an insight into how Deborra is feeling, and her divorce filing came at a time when rumours began circulating that Hugh was set to move in with Sutton.<\/p>\n
