Ever Since I Bought These COS Trousers, I’ve Completely Abandoned My Jeans

The restraint of jeans is a distant memory.

AN COS Trousers

It’s January 201st, or at least it feels that way. You’ve binged everything there is to be binged on Netflix, you’ve said no to the offer of a takeaway because the new-year-new-me rhetoric is still (somewhat) going strong, and you’ve worn the same pair of joggers for most of the month. Sound scarily familiar?

If you’re very much feeling the temptation to see out the most mundane month of the year just holed up in your home, I’ve just found the perfect pair of cotton joggers to take you through eight episodes of whatever’s new on Netflix. The pair in question is COS’s Wide-Leg Cotton Joggers, which feature a comfortable elasticated waistband, tonal piping and cotton-blend jersey fabric. I originally spotted these on the COS new-in page in the grey iteration, but I’ve since realised they come in a go-with-everything dark brown too, which only tempts me further into breaking my January spending ban.

AN COS Trousers

Normally, joggers are reserved for an on-the-sofa kind of outfit, but this COS pair can be dressed both up and down. For a Sunday morning coffee dash or brunch, pair it with a cosy cashmere turtleneck, white socks and colourful Adidas trainers. Or, alternatively, if your Sunday plan is to remain on the sofa, dress down with the most oversized hoodie you own (or even the matching COS version) and a cap.

So, if you, like me, want to never feel the restraint of rigid denim ever again, investing in a pair of COS Wide-Leg Cotton Joggers is the way forward. Polished enough to be considered a proper ‘trouser’, particularly when paired with something more tailored, yet casual enough to lie on the sofa in, it’s the best of both worlds – and you’ll never want to go back to denim again.
