If you buy one more jumper this winter, it should be this one – but it’s already selling fast

It’s exactly what you want from a winter knit.

Some pieces just instantly earn their keep. You know the ones, you put them on once, and suddenly, they’re in constant rotation. Immediate return on investment. That’s exactly what happened with this &Other Stories grey oversized jumper. Since it arrived, it’s basically all I’ve worn.

While Copenhagen Fashion Week might suggest otherwise, with its explosion of colour, texture and statement prints making winter dressing feel anything but dull, there’s something quietly powerful about grey knitwear. Sometimes, boring really is best. A simple jumper becomes the piece you reach for when you ‘have nothing to wear’ – that reliable staple that somehow always works.

This grey oversized jumper from &Other Stories is a new arrival, and I’m already spotting it on some of the most stylish women on my feed. It’s made from a cosy wool–cotton blend that keeps you warm, with an easy, oversized fit, dropped shoulders and long sleeves. The classic crew neckline makes layering simple, whether over a tee or under a turtle-neck, while the slightly longer back hem adds to the effortless, slouchy feel. It runs roomy, so size down if you prefer a neater silhouette.

Styling-wise, the options are endless: jeans, a tee and trainers for every day; grey tailoring and a red scarf for a pop of colour or wear over a satin skirt, dress or kilt for contrast; my favourite is layered under a groat (that’s a grey coat for those out of the loop) for a full tonal chic look. You’ll genuinely never run out of ways to wear it.

The best bit? It’s still in stock, but I have a feeling it won’t be for long. If you’re thinking about it, consider this your sign.
