However, the pair addressed this in a new interview for Variety, where Goggins insisted this wasn\u2019t as it seemed. He told the outlet that he has to cut ties as a way of moving on from one project to the next. He went on to explain that filming The White Lotus in Thailand resurfaced up some of this past trauma. Goggins\u2019 wife died by suicide in 2004, and his healing journey led him to Bangkok, where this season of The White Lotus was filmed at The Four Seasons.<\/p>\n \u2018My catharsis in this experience was different than other people\u2019s, because of my history in this place. I knew what we had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea,\u2019 he said. \u2018\u2019And I knew that that was going to take a while for me, so I let her know, \u2018This is what I\u2019ve gotta do.\u2019 And she was extremely supportive about that.\u2019<\/p>\n Wood also \u00a0bed, simply saying \u2018We don\u2019t give a s***e about Instagram.\u2019<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text module_class=”custom-quote” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_2_font=”Libre Bodoni|||on|||||” header_2_text_align=”center” header_2_text_color=”#333333″ header_2_font_size=”40px” header_2_line_height=”1.2em” global_colors_info=”{}”] Later in the interview, Goggins gushed over Wood\u2019s acting skills. \u2018There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me,\u2019 he said. He reportedly got emotional before comparing Wood to movie stars like Goldie Hawn and Meg Ryan. \u2018She can do anything, and she will,\u2019 he continued. \u2018You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be. I\u2019ll be on an island, I think Greece. But she\u2019s special. There is no feud. She is love and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply.\u2019<\/p>\n After the Instagram unfollow, speculation of a rift between the pair was fuelled in April, when an entertainment show SNL performed a skit of Aimee, mocking her teeth. Aimee took to Instagram to criticise the show, writing \u2018I actually love being taken the piss out of when it\u2019s clever and in good spirits. But the joke was about fluoride.\u2019<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”] She continued: \u2018I have big gap teeth not bad teeth. I don’t mind caricature – I understand that’s what SNL is. But the rest of the skit was punching up and I\/Chelsea was the only one punched down on,\u2019 adding \u2018It was a sharp and funny skit until it suddenly took a screeching turn into 1970’s misogyny.\u2019<\/p>\n Fans were confused when Goggins liked a post relating to the sketch and left a comment under it. However, Goggins told Aimee in the interview she had \u2018the most beautiful smile in the world.\u2019<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Wood told Variety that \u2018she was over it the minute I said it,\u2019 and that she was also dismayed people assumed she was upset with Goggins for agreeing to host SNL.\u2019I was so upset when people [said that],\u2019 she says. \u2018For fuck\u2019s sake, of course Walton should do SNL. That\u2019s got nothing to do with me. He\u2019s fucking had a career for, like, how long?\u2019<\/p>\n The feud rumours were also spurred on by Jason Isaacs (who plays Timothy Ratliff), who repeatedly made references to \u2018social tensions\u2019 on the set of the HBO drama. He told Vulture that working and living with his colleagues was \u2018a cross between summer camp and Lord of the Flies but in a gilded cage,\u2019 adding \u2018friendships that were made and friendships that were lost.\u2019<\/p>\n Then, people noticed that Goggins appeared to be separate from the rest of the cast after filming wrapped. However, the actor cleared up this speculation in the interview, explaining that the distance just wasn\u2019t that deep. Goggins has been busy with the production on Fallout season 2, and on the night of The White Lotus season 3\u2019s finale, he was in New York for an appearance on a late-night show.<\/p>\n Indeed, Isaacs also clarified his comments in a later interview on\u00a0 The Happy Hour podcast: \u2018Like anywhere you go for the summer, there\u2019s friendships, there\u2019s romances, there\u2019s arguments, there\u2019s cliques that form and break and reform and stuff like that. I\u2019m careful. I\u2019m not stupid. I look at the internet,\u2019 he said. \u2018Nobody has the slightest clue what they\u2019re talking about. People who think they\u2019re onto something, and it then gets magnified because of a thousand other people. Nobody has any clue.\u2019<\/p>\n So there you have it, feud rumours buried.
