\u00a0As A-list couples go, they are certainly one of the most well-known. Since Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet and Kylie Jenner got together in 2023, their relationship has never been far from the headlines, despite their wish to keep their love life under the radar.<\/p>\n

As their relationship progressed, some fans started to speculate that Kylie Jenner had changed her look for Timmy, swapping her love of bold outfits for a more demure, low-key style.<\/p>\n

Now, Kylie has responded to these claims in an interview with Dazed, denying she changed her style for Timmy. Kylie was asked if fans should be \u2018mourning a baddie,\u2019 to which she responded, \u2018That\u2019s so funny, I\u2019ve seen that before too, and I\u2019m always like, first of all, the baddie never left.\u2019<\/p>\n

She continued: \u2018I wear a latex dress at least once a week. Like, where do you guys think the baddie went?\u2019 adding \u2018People saw me in a flowy dress once in my life, and they were like, \u2018She\u2019s gone!\u2019 I wore a sundress once in Palm Springs, you know \u2013 like, can a girl wear a sundress once?\u2019<\/p>\n

Naturally, she stepped out in a latex mini-dress this week – proving her point exactly.<\/p>\n

The discourse around Kylie\u2019s evolving look began back in 2023, when she shared photos of herself in a long, puffy sleeve dress. Fans speculated Kylie was dressing in line with the \u2018cottagecore trend\u2019, a whimsical aesthetic which features pieces with corset bodices, puff sleeves and floral prints. She was also spotted wearing a simple black t-shirt and jeans to the US Open with Timmy, leading other fans to say she was taking a \u2018clean girl\u2019 approach to style. As their relationship progressed, more people started to weigh in on Kylie\u2019s evolving style. Paige DeSorbo, host of the \u2018Giggly Squad\u2019 podcast, said on one episode \u2018I do want to say about the Kardashians, every boyfriend they get, they take \u2014 they start to look like them. It\u2019s like one of the weirdest things.\u2019<\/p>\n

Kylie responded to the internet’s claims in a tongue-in-cheek TikTok, where she said she was taking time off her usually sexy outfits. \u2018Right now I\u2019m not depressed, I\u2019m just having a little break from slaying,\u2019 she lip synched, while wearing a white tank top and baggy trousers. \u2018I\u2019m just having a little break from slaying and then I\u2019m gonna go back to slaying soon, so don\u2019t you worry,\u2019 she ended the clip.<\/p>\n

She also acknowledged this style transition in a 2024 interview with the New York Times, saying she was \u2018stripping down a little bit\u2019 when it came to her fashion choices.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

\u2018I don\u2019t have this thick mane down to my butt, I don\u2019t have lash extensions, I don\u2019t have these long claws,\u2019 she said. When she was asked if it had to do with her relationship with Chalamet, she responded \u2018I don\u2019t know how I feel about that. I just don\u2019t want to talk about personal things.\u2019<\/p>\n

She went on to address this further in an interview with Elle. In the interview, she explained she had grown out of the \u2018King Kylie\u2019 aesthetic since becoming a mother. Kylie has two children: daughter Stormi, born in 2018, and son Aire, born in 2022 with her ex-partner Travis Scott.<\/p>\n

\u2018That era will always be a part of who I am, but it\u2019ll never be what it was when I was younger. I probably would never wear lash extensions and thick eyebrows [now]. There are just certain trends that I\u2019ve grown out of,\u2019 she told the outlet in 2024. Addressing fans comments that her style is leaning more towards \u2018quiet luxury\u2019, Jenner said \u2018I\u2019ve definitely had some moments of quiet luxury, as they would say, but I\u2019m always experimenting. At the root of my authentic style, I think I\u2019m more dark feminine.\u2019<\/p>\n

While Timmy and Kylie have preferred to keep a relatively low profile, they made their first red carpet debut earlier this year at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome. Kylie wore a long, timeless black dress, similar to the outfits she donned throughout awards season. She shared her reasons behind sticking to understated choices in an interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

\u2018I think it just like happened that way,\u2019 she said, \u2018Even, recently I was like, \u2018I can\u2019t wear another black dress.\u2019 And then of course the most perfect, gorgeous Schiaparelli black dress shows up.\u2019<\/p>\n

However, she shared further insight into the decision to pare things back, continuing \u2018Although these are the most beautiful, iconic gowns that I\u2019ve been wearing, I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention-grabbing in the best way. You can never go wrong with a black dress.\u2019<\/p>\n

Like many teenagers at the time, it wasn\u2019t unusual for Kylie to change her hairstyles. Early fans of The Kardashians will probably remember Kylie\u2019s dramatic blue hair extensions, bold makeup, and stacks of bracelets up her wrist.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think that I\u2019m kind of a chameleon with my style,\u2019 she told Harper\u2019s Bazaar. \u2018I love to play. I\u2019ve been like that since I was 16.\u2019<\/p>\n

Timoth\u00e9e hasn\u2019t commented on these matters. However, in a past interview with GQ he did address the private nature of his and Kylie\u2019s relationship.\u00a0 \u2018This reminds me of that recent South Park episode with the \u201cWorldwide Privacy Tour\u201d\u2019 he said, referring to the controversial episode of the comedy that depicted Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. \u2018Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you\u2019re trying to live a private life.’<\/p>\n

It\u2019s safe to assume that most of us probably don\u2019t dress like our teenage selves anymore \u2013 and perhaps for good reason. As for Kylie\u2019s next style evolution?
