The family are currently on holiday in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>While some fans have been wholly complimentary, other comments have a rather toxic edge when it comes to the heavy expectations on how a woman\u2019s body should look after childbirth and becoming a mother.<\/p>\n<p>One fan wrote \u2018@michkeegan firstly wow \ud83d\ude2f you looking stunning \ud83d\ude0d motherhood is clearly suited for you \u2764\ufe0f\u2026\u2019, while another praised her for \u2018getting her figure back so quickly\u2019, asking the actress for the so-called secrets when it comes to how she did it.<\/p>\n<p>Another posted: \u201cHow does anyone look that amazing after just having a baby?\u201d Meanwhile, another commented: \u2018You look absolutely stunning\u2026I am still trying to get my post baby figure back and my baby is 17 this year!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>While complimenting a woman on her body postpartum may feel good, it also demonstrates a rather unhealthy overfocus we as a society have on women\u2019s bodies, and particularly the pressure on them to conform to body image norms as quickly as possible after giving birth.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_code _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; They wrote on her Instagram post: \u2018Just a message to any mum out there\u2019s who\u2019s just had a baby and your body didn\u2019t [snap] back like this, remember you just grown a baby for 9months don\u2019t matter what ya look like you made a baby, mad in it enjoy x x\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, no woman should feel pressure to \u2018snap back\u2019 to their original dress size after having a baby. But shaming any woman\u2019s body postpartum, whether it\u2019s smaller or larger than before, is just feeding into the unrealistic expectations on women\u2019s bodies.<\/p>\n<p>One fan responded to the suggestion that women\u2019s bodies \u2018don\u2019t snap back\u2019: \u2018Some women do tho. I did after my first 2. Straight back into my size 8 jeans 6 weeks after birth. Yet with my 3rd I was in a size 12. It\u2019s not fair to body shame someone even if you\u2019re trying to make others feel better. It\u2019s just as bad\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Another fan referenced the pressure and speculation over the years that Keegan faced when it came to her fertility and plans to have a child and encouraged critics to \u2018have a day off\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>They wrote: \u2018All the pressure over the years of \u201cwhen are you and Mark having a baby\u2019 they did it in their own time, and now she is getting slated for looking so good after having a baby!!! People need to have a day off!! She is beautiful, simple as that. No need for all the comments about promoting unrealistic post pregnancy expectations. This is her, she is posting her pics on her page. Would this not be a healthier, constructive thing to focus on when it comes to these new pictures of Keegan?<\/p>\n<p>In the past, the actress herself has spoken out about the expectation of women in the entertainment industry to do \u2018sexy\u2019 magazine spread shoots, referring to her first ever experience in that world.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It was the norm back then to do sexy spreads in men\u2019s magazines and go to the award ceremonies where they\u2019d have \u2018sexiest female\u2019,\u2019 she said in an interview. \u2018I was never comfortable with it.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>She described feeling \u2018pressure\u2019 to do the shoot and display her body in that way.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I felt pressure and I am a bit of a people pleaser, I try to go with the flow. But there was something in me that was like, \u2018I really don\u2019t want this. I don\u2019t want to be on the front cover in my underwear.\u2019 So, eventually, I gathered the courage\u2026 to ask for a cardigan. Because I was in a lot of heavy storylines. There was one where I felt like I was crying every day for months and months. And then at the end of it, when the accolade was sexiest female, it was so frustrating.<\/p>\n<p>Keegan added that she didn\u2019t even view herself as sexy. \u2018And the funny thing is, I\u2019m not sexy! I\u2019ve never been sexy! My friends have always laughed about it. Even when I say the word it makes me cringe.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Filming for the final series Keegan\u2019s hit TV series Brassic \u2013 which follows the lives of a group of young people in a fictional Northern England town \u2013 wrapped in May of this year and is set to air at the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>In a heartfelt goodbye to her character Erin, she said: \u2018So finally the Brassic journey has come to an end (feels so strange saying that) and what an unbelievable 7 years it\u2019s been.
