The first season, which saw the Duchess interview the likes of Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd and Tina Knowles, wrapped on 3 June and Markle is taking a break to focus on her other business ventures.<\/p>\n \u2018What an amazing opportunity to pull back the curtain and let people see what\u2019s happening at the start,\u2019 she told one of her guests Emma Grede, \u2018to have the opportunity to talk to so many female founders who\u2019ve been on that full trajectory, that are on the other side of success. To be able to be really candid and vulnerable personally about my learns and stumbles along the way.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018And to then take everyone\u2019s advice,\u2019 she continued, \u2018and mine included and to say \u201cI love that there\u2019s so much excitement and desire for another season, but I need to focus on my business.\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n Markle is, of course, referring to her recently established and long-awaited lifestyle brand, As Ever, where she sells everything from jam to home d\u00e9cor and kitchen utensils. She is also reportedly planning to expand the business into hospitality services, including hotels, restaurants, temporary lodgings and \u2018provision of food and drink\u2019, sources have revealed.<\/p>\n Then there\u2019s filming for season two of her very on-brand Netflix series, With Love, Meghan<\/em>, which saw the Duchess teach and learn tricks about the art of hosting, including bee keeping, tablescaping and her viral one skillet lemon spaghetti. Markle was the first to point out how much she\u2019s got on her plate on her podcast before the series ended.<\/p>\n \u2018People seem to forget that very rarely do people see everything that\u2019s happening behind the scenes,\u2019 she explained. \u2018I could show a small glimpse of that, but equally, yes, I wrapped season one of my Netflix series \u2013 still had to promote it, still had to be in the edits. For season two, we were in pre-production of one season while we were doing post-production of the other \u2013 it\u2019s constant. I just wrapped edits on season two of With Love, Meghan<\/em> last week, so it\u2019s still ongoing while also doing a podcast while also doing my business.\u2019 Season two is expected to arrive on Netflix this autumn. Markle then joked, \u2018At a certain point the only thing I want to spread thin is my jam.\u2019<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text module_class=”custom-quote” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_2_font=”Libre Bodoni|||on|||||” header_2_text_align=”center” header_2_text_color=”#333333″ header_2_font_size=”40px” header_2_line_height=”1.2em” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content” sticky_enabled=”0″] This doesn\u2019t mean Confessions of a Female Founder<\/em> has been canned for good, however. Despite Markle\u2019s last podcast venture, Archetypes<\/em>, being dropped by Spotify after its first season, she has assured loyal listeners that she will return with a second season when the time is right. \u2018I would love to bring the show back when I am at a different end of my founder journey,\u2019 she said. \u2018When I\u2019ve gone through Q4 and say, \u201cHere are my proof points. Wow, what a year it\u2019s been.\u201d Or even longer than that. I think a different time will be so exciting to be able to compare and contrast.’<\/p>\n The Duchess was also candid about the fact she is a working parent and doesn\u2019t want to miss out on any key moments in the lives of her young children, Archie, six, and Lili, four. In fact, while appearing as a guest on her friend Jamie Kern Lima\u2019s podcast in April, Markle went viral for saying she sends her children emails of photographs and things they\u2019ve said or done every night to create a \u2018time capsule\u2019 which they can read (all 4,000 of them) when they turn 18.<\/p>\n As possibly the most discourse baiting individual in the world \u2013 and, sadly, one of the most trolled \u2013 Markle\u2019s comments sparked debate about the mounting expectations of millennial parenting and the pressure working mums feel to capture every moment of their children\u2019s lives. Regardless of where anyone lands on the debate, the time capsule concept coming from Markle of all people is hardly a surprise. After all, this is a woman who claims to hand prepare her own bath salts for guests when they come to stay.<\/p>\n It’s also further evidence that she leads a busy life \u2013 determined to capture every minute, photograph every bumble bee and pop mints on every pillow.<\/p>\n Of course, there will be droves of people hearing Markle\u2019s cries about being busy, acutely aware that they and everyone they know are indeed much busier \u2013 and less fortunate than Markle. But is that the point? From a subject matter perspective, Markle\u2019s decision to park her series hinged on giving business advice until she\u2019s developed her own business and has more authority seems like a wise one.<\/p>\n Perhaps we\u2019ll hear from Markle and her host of friends-cum-founders-cum-inspirational women at the start of next year.
