Now, nine years later, the son of David and Victoria Beckham is on a quest to assert himself as a serious musician \u2013 and had some choice words for TikTok users questioning his talent and rock credentials.<\/p>\n After months of teasing his guitar skills on social media, Cruz posted another snippet to his 700,000 TikTok followers on Sunday (22 June). In the clip, Cruz could be seen dressed in a baggy white t-shirt and light coloured trousers as he jammed out on his electric guitar with his band. The video was set to his unreleased song \u201cFor Ya Love\u201d, a rocky ballad which has previously soundtracked other social media posts by Cruz and the other Beckhams.<\/p>\n The Beckham offspring often being criticised for their \u201cnepo baby\u201d status \u2013 not all that surprising given they\u2019re the children of two of the UK\u2019s biggest celebrities \u2013 it didn\u2019t take long for the video to be met with comments from trolls. But rather than simply roll over, Cruz refused to take it lying down, and fired back suitably \u201csassy\u201d responses that left fans impressed. \u201cAre you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?\u201d one commenter wrote, seemingly wrongly referencing the memes about Cruz\u2019s brother Brooklyn and his multiple career paths. Seemingly unimpressed, Cruz replied: \u201cWrong brother mate.\u201d<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_code _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″] It didn\u2019t end there. When another commenter wrote that Cruz had \u201cthe talent of an average teenage boy that just recently started learning guitar\u201d, the influencer commented back: \u201cIt\u2019s easy to comment on TikTok isn\u2019t it [cry-laugh emoji] u think I care what you think darling.\u201d And in response to another comment telling him to stick to football like his dad, Cruz wrote: \u201cJulie mate have u seen what u look like, maybe sort it out.\u201d And that fan luckily saw the funny side, writing back: \u201cGood one [cry-laugh emoji] sorry Cruz.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans were delighted to see the Beckham kid responding to his haters. \u201cCruz clapping back at some of these comments was NOT what I was expecting to see,\u201d one fan cheered. \u201cI\u2019m loving the Cruz replies\u2026 at last someone standing up to the hate\/jealousy. Go for it mate,\u201d a person said, while another wrote: \u201cThe hate a young lad gets for putting effort and dedication into something is crazy! Keyboard warriors everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n Cruz previously followed a career in football and modelling before moving into music, and has been seen in the studio with rock royalty in his recent bid to launch his own career. He\u2019s recorded with The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard, who said in an interview earlier this year that Cruz had \u201creally good taste in music\u201d. He revealed: \u201cWe chat about early Bee Gees \u2013 there aren\u2019t many people I can do that with. We started writing songs together and we\u2019ve become mates.\u201d<\/p>\n Pritchard also hinted that Cruz didn\u2019t take all the nepotism accusers too seriously. \u201cHe\u2019s naturally going to come under criticism because of who his parents are. He\u2019s aware of that,\u201d Pritchard said. \u201cIt was great when he said, \u2018Jesus was a nepo baby too.\u2019 I thought that was quite a funny response.\u201d Cruz made this comment towards the end of last year, dividing the internet with his tongue-in-cheek response to nepotism allegations.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text module_class=”custom-quote” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_2_font=”Libre Bodoni|||on|||||” header_2_text_align=”center” header_2_text_color=”#333333″ header_2_font_size=”40px” header_2_line_height=”1.2em” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”] As the third oldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, Cruz has been called a \u201cnepo baby\u201d since the term first sprung up online. So too have his siblings: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Harper, 13. While the only Beckham daughter has largely been kept out of the spotlight, the boys have faced much criticism throughout their careers \u2013 and been forced to comment on the label more than once.<\/p>\n Speaking to Grazia last year, chef Brooklyn was asked whether he understood the public\u2019s frustration with the children of the rich and famous rising to the top seemingly due to connections. \u201cYeah, of course,\u201d he said. \u201cObviously I am one. But I couldn\u2019t help how I was born, at all. There\u2019s always going to be people that say rubbish. But as long as you do something that makes you happy and you\u2019re kind to people, that\u2019s all that matters.\u201d Brooklyn said that he had grown to accept hat he was \u201calways gonna get [that comment], no matter what I do. And I\u2019m fine with that.
