The shoot and interview depicted her takes on intimacy and power, as well as an amazing nipple positive ensemble. For one look, sports a sheer, asymmetric, off-the-shoulder t-shirt that exposes her entire chest. In the picture, Stone is sitting on the shoulders of a group of men, including Halle Berry\u2019s ex Gabriel Aubry.<\/p>\n The fan commentary for the shoot has been all around positive, with one posting \u2018SO FIRE\u2019 and another writing that she\u2019s \u2018the most beautiful woman in the world\u2019. In a world full of misogyny and disempowerment of women \u2013 especially in the entertainment industry \u2013 it feels so great to see Stone\u2019s shoot being received in such a supportive light, as well as her showing a wonderful example of a woman in her late 60s embracing her body. Also, it feels somewhat revolutionary for a celebrity\u2019s nipple to be photographed and displayed in a style that doesn\u2019t sexualise or sensationalise.<\/p>\n Stone was recently asked about how she feels about ageing in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, she opened up about the importance of loving your body and not giving up on it. \u2018A lot of people give up as they get older,\u2019 she said. \u2018They let go of their body because it\u2019s collapsing anyway, or it\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m not defined by my body anymore.\u2019 But you still have to love that body.\u2019<\/p>\n Stone went on to describe how she views and loves her body has shifted, particularly how she views her arms.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/flatplan-plus-content.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2192555693-scaled.jpeg” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” alt=”Sharon Stone” title_text=”82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards – Arrivals” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content” sticky_enabled=”0″] \u2018I joke that my underarms have pleats now,\u2019 she says. \u2018I think, \u201cWell, I had beautiful arms and now they\u2019re strong and painting and like angel wings. Maybe that\u2019s what makes them wonderful now.\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n It feels like we\u2019ve come a long way in terms of how actors like Stone are depicted on screen, ensuring that women in particular aren\u2019t depicted as sexual objects and nothing else. She has long spoken about being sexualised throughout her career, especially in the aftermath of the role she played in Basic Instinct, which made her a sex symbol. She has reflected on using her fame to raise large amounts of money for causes such as research into HIV and AIDS treatment.<\/p>\n \u2018I’m really proud that I took this idea that was made up in this movie \u2013 that I was really sexy \u2013 and used it to fight a disease where people were getting punished for their sexuality, because I was getting punished for mine,\u2019 she told the BBC.<\/p>\n Her philanthropy affected her status in Hollywood. \u2018I didn\u2019t get roles. I couldn\u2019t get a job,\u2019 she told The Hollywood Reporter. \u2018People would turn me down without me even knowing it. I was up for this beautiful movie by this writer \u2014 I won\u2019t say who it was \u2014 and I never even got the script. To this day, he doesn\u2019t believe that I didn\u2019t read his script.\u2019<\/p>\n Stone has long been a trailblazer for feminist, empowering moves in the entertainment industry, and has often spoken out on its inequality and injustice.\u2018Hollywood is set up to be misogynistic. It\u2019s a business run by men,\u2019 she has said.<\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s a business where men make the money. Where men write, produce and direct the projects. Where men write the parts that are played by women. And those parts are not written about real women. They\u2019re written to be the fantasy of how women should be.<\/p>\n \u2018Then, the male critics tell you if you met the fantasy or not, if you behaved in the right way. You know, until Basic Instinct, women had to cross their legs a certain way on the screen, at the ankles. You couldn\u2019t cross your legs like a man. You weren\u2019t even allowed to show your armpits. She has even opened up about the abusive behaviour that she experienced from disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, recalling that \u2018he did not sexually abuse me, but he was physically abusive. Like, he would throw me across the room, he would grab me.\u2019<\/p>\n Stone has also spoken \u2018choosing joy\u2019 when opting to be resilient, which aligns with her nipple-freeing vibe. Long may it continue. \u2018We can choose to bitch and moan or we can choose joy \u2013 I think you have to just keep choosing joy,\u2019 she has said, advising us to \u2018stay present. You fell down. Get up. Someone pushed you down. Now they want to help you up.
