Dressing for summer in the city is perhaps the hardest genre of dressing to nail. If, like me, you can completely relate to not wanting to wear denim cut-offs or open-toe ballet flats on the tube, then this newest trend might be one for you. The polarising mid-calf trouser, pedal pusher, capri pant, whatever you want to call it, is, quite honestly, the only item I\u2019ve found that actually works for looking chic and staying cool when the temperature rises. Not shorts but also not a full pair of jeans, this relic of early 2000s holiday wardrobes is something gloriously in between, and has become a must-have when braving the tube in anything over 20 degrees.<\/p>\n
