Well, new details have emerged after one of the swingers, McKenna Gibbons, made a five-part series talking about the drama online yesterday. And queen of the scandal, Taylor Frankie Paul, has already made a response on TikTok. Yes, strap in folks, this is the sex scandal that will never, ever die.<\/p>\n In case you\u2019re not up to date on your Mormon sex scandals, here\u2019s a quick refresher. In 2022 over on TikTok, there were a group of Mormon mum influencers who regularly posted about their lifestyle \u2013 dubbed #MormonMomTok. Queen of the Mormon mums was Taylor Frankie Paul, who has 5million followers on TikTok, and broke the internet (or at least, #MomTok) when she revealed she and her husband, Tate Paul, were divorcing after she violated a swinging agreement they\u2019d made with their friends.<\/p>\n \u2018We had an agreement, all of us, and I did step out of that agreement,\u2019 she confessed on TikTok live in May 2022. \u2018That\u2019s where I messed up and I\u2019m obviously losing everything that I have\u2026But no one was innocent, everyone has hooked up with everyone in the situation. So yes, I\u2019m getting shunned\u2026 but it wasn\u2019t like I was going around hooking up with my friends husband. We were at a party, I got belligerent, and we went and messed around by ourselves rather than with the whole group\u2026 it was a one-time thing because we were so gone.\u2019<\/p>\n If you\u2019re confused where Mormonism comes into this, it doesn\u2019t. Swinging is not an accepted practice in the religion, in fact they are meant to abide by the so-called law of chastity which says, \u2018God approves of sexual activity only between a man and a woman who are married\u2026 Outside of marriage between a man and a woman, it is wrong to touch the private, sacred parts of another person’s body even if clothed.\u2019<\/p>\n So, you can see where we have scandal! After the news broke, TikTok sleuthers were obsessed with the lives of these Mormon mums, and any friend associated with Taylor was assumed to be part of the swinging community \u2013 though most denied being involved at all. Enter Disney+, who documented the lives of seven Mormon #MomToker\u2019s in new series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (which just finished filming for series two, hurrah).<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text module_class=”custom-quote” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_2_font=”Libre Bodoni|||on|||||” header_2_text_align=”center” header_2_text_color=”#333333″ header_2_font_size=”40px” header_2_line_height=”1.2em” global_colors_info=”{}”] Taylor led the reality show, but none of the other cast were said to be involved in the swinging scandal that drew so much attention to #MomTok. Naturally, that left viewers with a lot of questions. Who of the original #MomTok crowd were actually swinging? That\u2019s where the new drama starts.<\/p>\n Yesterday, Kenna Gibbons \u2013 part of the OG crowd \u2013 posted a five-part series confessing that she and ex-husband Brayden Rowley were in the \u2018soft swinging\u2019 group and considers it one of the \u2018biggest mistakes\u2019 she\u2019s ever made. In fact, she claims that the reason her marriage fell apart was because her husband was the one that \u2018stepped outside the swinging agreement\u2019, as Taylor put it in her original confession. Brayden has not commented publicly.<\/p>\n She said the swinging started a few weeks after she and Brayden met \u2018two couples\u2019 who they would hang out with and play drunk card games. The couples are presumed to be Taylor her ex-husband Tate, as well as now-divorced Miranda Hope and Chase McWhorter \u2013 the latter of whom initially denied swinging, but Chase recently confessed his part in an interview with Us Weekly (he says it was mostly drunk party games, and that swinging was never predetermined). Miranda has denied being involved.<\/p>\n \u2018My ex and I had never played any sort of games like this, but I do remember after the first night saying if the other spouse isn\u2019t around, it isn\u2019t appropriate to play,\u2019 Kenna explains in her video, going on to say that the swinging escalated when they all went on a trip together and swapped partners. She says she later decided she didn\u2019t want to participate in the swinging because she could see her husband getting too close to one of the wives (she doesn\u2019t explicitly call out Taylor).<\/p>\n \u2018I was so ashamed of my decisions,\u2019 Kenna continued. \u2018There were never any boundaries as a group that was talked about, or in my marriage\u2026 my marriage took a turn after this.\u2019<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_code _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″] Kenna goes on to claim that her husband admitted to cheating by having sex with one of the wives outside of the swinging arrangement, and that they were both planning to leave their spouses to be together. Brayden has not commented publicly on the allegations of swinging or cheating.<\/p>\n \u2018Physical affairs, I had worked through, that sounds wild but it\u2019s easier to work through than the emotional,\u2019 McKenna said. \u2018You can mess with me but to want to leave and disrupt your son\u2019s life like that, I\u2019m done.\u2019<\/p>\n Taylor has since responded to McKenna\u2019s account of the swinging scandal in her own TikTok, posting a video with the caption \u2018She never asked to stop, she was one of the instigators and she sent her husband to get me, but tell your side sis.\u2019 Taylor included a clip of them kissing and screenshots of alleged texts from McKenna saying, \u2018I\u2019m drunk, and I wish I was kissing you\u2019.<\/p>\n Honestly, the fact all of this is happening after filming for series two of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has finished is a travesty.
