In fact, the location was reportedly let slip by the mayor of Venice, after he boasted that the couple\u2019s celebrations will generate millions for the city. \u2018This event will bring economic returns of millions of euros to the city,\u2019 he said on Thursday.<\/p>\n He isn\u2019t the only one to comment on the event. On Thursday, Lauren\u2019s older brother Paul Sanchez told TMZ \u2018I think it\u2019s gonna be like a Princess Di thing. Just huge and fun, and just a blast.\u2019 For reference, Diana\u2019s wedding to Charles was in St. Paul\u2019s Cathedral was watched by an estimated global audience of 750 million people \u2013 so if S\u00e1nchez and Bezos top this, it would be more than impressive.<\/p>\n Paul went on to discuss who is leading the charge on the wedding planning. When asked, he said: \u2018I have no idea. I talk to my sister three or four times a week, but she hasn\u2019t mentioned much about the wedding. They\u2019re so busy.\u2019 When it comes to what to gift the couple, even Paul isn\u2019t sure. \u2018I have no clue. We\u2019re trying to figure that out,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n The confirmation of the wedding follows months of speculation. Reports started to circulate that there was to be a ‘winter wonderland wedding’ in Aspen on December 28 last year, but the date came and went with no nuptials. Naturally, people are pretty excited now something is on the horizon.<\/p>\n So without further ado, what could be in store for the nuptials? The wedding is reportedly going to last three days \u2013 yep, because one just isn\u2019t enough when you\u2019re one of the world\u2019s richest men. Mr Bezos is ranked by Forbes the second richest person on the planet, with a fortune valued at $218bn (\u00a3168bn). According to some reports, all the water taxis in the city have been hired out for the event, and swanky hotels such as Belmond Hotel Cipriani and the Gritti Palace have been fully booked.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text module_class=”custom-quote” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_2_font=”Libre Bodoni|||on|||||” header_2_text_align=”center” header_2_text_color=”#333333″ header_2_font_size=”40px” header_2_line_height=”1.2em” global_colors_info=”{}”] The exact location of the wedding hasn\u2019t been confirmed yet. However according to one local report \u2018The event \u2026 will take place aboard their $500 million megayacht, Koru, anchored in the Venetian Lagoon.\u2019 The yacht is the largest masted yacht ever built \u2013 it can sleep eighteen people in nine cabins and measures more than 415 feet in length. Other sources have suggested that the yacht will only be involved in the wedding. ‘I promise you the wedding is not on the boat,\u2019 one source told The Daily Mail. According to the Italian press, the wedding will be organised by British event organiser, Lanza & Baucina. With figures like the above being thrown around, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the wedding ended up costing billions, right?<\/p>\n Other speculation suggests the wedding could take place in the Palazzo Ducale or Doge\u2019s Palace, one of the main landmarks of the city which was once the residence of the Doge of Venice, the elected authority of the former Republic of Venice. Another option suggests Bezos could choose the Arsenal, a historic complex of slipways, boat sheds, workshops and canals where for generations the Venetians constructed warships.<\/p>\n A local news site said ‘In preparation for the event, Venice is bracing for the arrival of VIPs. The city’s top luxury hotels have already been booked, and reports say the entire fleet of water taxis will be made available to shuttle guests across the canals. The logistics point to a highly exclusive, tightly co-ordinated celebration.’<\/p>\n They continued: ‘Choosing Venice is more than a romantic gesture \u2014it’sxs a nod to the couple’s shared history with the city, which they’ve frequently visited during their relationship\u2026 the wedding is poised to be a defining social event of 2025, not only for the couple but for Venice itself.’<\/p>\n Bezos and S\u00e1nchez went public with their romance in January 2019 and got engaged in May 2023. Bezos proposed with a $2.5 million diamond ring so huge that S\u00e1nchez admitted she ‘kind of blacked out’ when she saw it. \u2018We\u2019re still thinking about the wedding, what it\u2019s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don\u2019t know yet. We\u2019ve only been engaged five months,\u2019 she told Vogue at the time. When it comes to S\u00e1nchez\u2019s dress, we can expect nothing less than amazing. She has already chosen her dress with help from Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and it\u2019s believed to be Oscar de la Renta.<\/p>\n The invite list is star-studded, as expected. Donald Trump\u2019s daughter Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are said to be on the list, alongside Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, Eva Longoria, Katy Perry and her fianc\u00e9e Orlando Bloom and Oprah Winfrey. DiCaprio and Bezos are said to be close friends, after he was photographed on his yacht last year. According to Page Six, the pair find \u2018common ground in the fight against climate change and their work in environmental activism.\u2019 Meanwhile, Bloom and Perry have been spotted on holiday with the couple before, when they were photographed in Dubrovnik, Croatia.<\/p>\n Both Bezos and S\u00e1nchez have been married in the past. Bezos shares four children with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. The pair were married 25 years of marriage. S\u00e1nchez and her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell, settled their divorce in October 2019, after 13 years together.<\/p>\n S\u00e1nchez is yet to comment on her upcoming nuptials, but she did recently post a cryptic message to Instagram. Sharing a pencil sketch of a nude woman perched on the wing of a plane, her hair swept back by the wind, she simply captioned it: ‘Mood.’<\/p>\n In her previous interview with Vogue, Sanchez said she\u2019d be taking Bezos last name. \u2018Uh, yes, one hundred percent. I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos. When asked about marrying him, she replied \u2018think there are a lot of opportunities that come with that, and I take those opportunities very seriously.
