We don\u2019t know what they had to eat but there was apparently one big topic of conversation around the table at the Sussexes\u2019 Californian mansion: tricky families.<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve briefly glanced over any entertainment news within the past few weeks, you\u2019ll have probably seen reports Brooklyn Beckham and his heirress wife are said to be feuding with the rest of the Beckhams \u2013 so much so that Brooklyn decided to skip his dad\u2019s glitzy 50th birthday party at three-star Michelin restaurant Core in London, even though he was in the UK.<\/p>\n And if there\u2019s anything Harry and Meghan know about, it\u2019s a family fight (after all, the pair walking away from their royal duties in 2020 is one of the most famous fallouts of all time). There\u2019s also been reports Romeo Beckham\u2019s girlfriend model-turned-DJ Kim Turnbull has been used as a \u2018scapegoat\u2019 in the drama, as Kim and Brooklyn used to be close.<\/p>\n \u2018Nicola and Meghan also had a bit of a \u201cdeep n\u2019 meaningful\u201d as obviously both women have been positioned in the media as homewreckers \u2014 the women to tear apart their husbands\u2019 families,\u2019 the source said. \u2018Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground,\u2019 they added. \u2018They didn\u2019t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence.\u2019 Such a welcome coincidence that apparently the group all swapped numbers.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, the Mail reported Brooklyn and his parents aren\u2019t speaking right now \u2013 even though David and Victoria have reached out. David extended an olive branch to Brooklyn on social media, saying that he was missed at the birthday bash. Apparently he\u2019s ‘desperate to\u202fmake amends\u2019 with Brooklyn as he fears history is repeating itself following his fall out with his father Ted in 2005 (the footballer didn\u2019t speak to his dad for two years as his parents divorced). \u2018David and the family genuinely fear Brooklyn could be lost to them forever,\u2019 a source told The Sun. \u2018The word \u201clost\u201d here, is especially poignant as it was the exact sentiment used when David fell out with his dad.\u2019<\/p>\n The paper also separately reported that Brooklyn and Nicola might also be about to spend even more time in the US, as the pair are set to open a dog shelter in California \u2013 with The Sun reporting that they\u2019ve filed paperwork to register the non-profit under both their names.<\/p>\n On Harry and Meghan\u2019s side, the royal family feud was recently back in the news after Harry gave one of his most illuminating interviews, following a court ruling about the level of security Harry, Meghan and their children receive while in the UK.
