It\u2019s the kind of drama which is usually reserved for the constraints of her family\u2019s reality show. And yet Kylie Jenner has found herself at the centre of a personal, and public relations, disaster as she\u2019s been named in a lawsuit brought by a former housekeeper, Angelica Hernandez Vasquez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former employee has alleged troubling treatment at the mother of two\u2019s Los Angeles home, claiming she \u2018was subjected to severe and pervasive harassment\u2019 while working there. The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month, places Jenner alongside several business and staffing entities, including Kylie Jenner Inc., Tri Star Services, and Maison Family Services, as defendants in the civil case that may bring a broader look at the treatment of domestic workers inside high-profile celebrity homes, where there are layers of management and outsourced staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the filing, Vasquez worked in Jenner\u2019s Hidden Hills home – where she has regularly filmed for Disney+ reality show The Kardashians – between September 2024 and August 2025. She claims she experienced discriminatory treatment based on her race, national origin, and religion, as well as being assigned more undesirable cleaning tasks than other staff. She also alleges she was mocked and isolated by senior members of the housekeeping team, and that when she raised concerns, the situation worsened – ultimately leading to her resignation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The claims made by Vasquez, described as a \u2018Salvadoran woman and a practicing Catholic,\u2019 do not target Jenner, but her supervisors, whom she said \u2018snapped their fingers\u2019 at her, \u2018mocked [her] for her accent and treated [her] as inferior because of her Salvadoran background.\u2019 Vasquez was also allegedly subjected to \u2018repeated demeaning comments referencing [her] Salvadoran origin and immigration status, insinuations that coworkers of similar background had been deported, [and] boasting about United States citizenship in a manner designed to demean Plaintiff as a work authorisation permit holder.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She alleges that after raising concerns about her treatment around November 2024, Vasquez was mocked by her two supervisors, with \u2018no remedial action\u2019 taken. Instead, she says, the \u2018mistreatment\u2019 escalated and she experienced retaliation. After she lodged another complaint in March 2025, Vasquez claims, \u2018a supervisor threw hangers at Plaintiff’s feet while reprimanding her.\u2019 In fact, Vasquez called the working conditions \u2018so intolerable, hostile, and unlawful\u2019 that a \u2018reasonable person\u2019 in her position \u2018would have felt compelled to resign,\u2019 the lawsuit states. Vasquez quit in August, 11 months after her employment began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A source said that this lawsuit is a ‘PR nightmare’ for Jenner, adding ‘No one wants this kind of appalling thing to happen under their roof.’ Speaking of which, Jenner\u2019s boyfriend, actor Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet has also been dragged into the legal debacle, with Vasquez claiming she was directed to work in locations other than Jenner’s home, including \u2018Jenner’s boyfriend’s residence on multiple occasions.\u2019 However, Vasquez alleges, she was not compensated for mileage and transportation costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Jenner is named personally in the lawsuit, because it took place in her home, the allegations are not necessarily about her direct actions. Much of the alleged behaviour described in this case is attributed to supervisory staff and household managers rather than Jenner herself, and yet the fact she is named at all is something of a PR disaster for the so-called \u2018self-made billionaire\u2019 who is often critiqued for being out of touch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed Jenner drew criticism when, around the same time that news of the lawsuit came to light, Jenner posted a series of unbothered photos on Instagram, wearing a bra while posing with her Birkin collection. \u2018Can’t a girl have fun,\u2019 she captioned the post. But, then again, the Jenner-Kardashian clan are well versed by now in dealing with lawsuits and negative press. Kim Kardashian has even trained to be a lawyer herself (although she is still yet to pass the California bar exam, so she won\u2019t be pitching in to help her sister with this particular case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
