‘I made so many mistakes’: Inside Denise Richards’ Costly Marriage To Aaron Phypers<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Denise Richards survived both a stint on Beverly Hills reality TV and a torrent of attention following her split from Charlie Sheen – however, she’s now revealed her ‘biggest regret’ in life has been her most recent ex-husband, Aaron Phypers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appearing on The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show<\/em>, the actress admitted to making ‘so many mistakes’ during her relationship with actor-turned-holistic wellness practitioner Phypers. Saying she could ‘write a book on what f*cking not to do,’ Richards, 55, revealed that she had ‘put [Phypers] as a signee on my bank accounts.’ During their relationship, Richards alleged she was the one funding the payroll of Phypers’ business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phypers and Richards first met back in 2017, at his healing center in Malibu. Richards had been attending for ‘preventive DNA repair,’ with romance blossoming. The pair went on to marry in 2018 and spent seven years together before splitting last summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July 2025, Phypers and Richards separated, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’ Court documents later revealed that Richards had accused Phypers of physical assault, and was later granted a permanent restraining order against him. Phypers has denied the allegations against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there was another complicated layer to their split: finances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Richards, she had been financially supporting Phypers – and not always to her knowledge. The RHOBH <\/em>star claimed she funded the payroll for Phypers’ holistic wellness centre, where she alleged he had ‘multiple’ mistresses. Speaking on the podcast, she said, ‘A woman he was having an affair with at his work, an employee, I paid her payroll, her severance. I don’t know how she looked me in the face.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richards also claimed she had been paying $15,000 a month on a house for Phypers’ family, as well as bankrolling a separate $20,000 a month residence unknown to her at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘He was having an affair with an employee.’<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Phypers, for his part, tells a different story. In his divorce petition filed last July, Phypers claimed that Richards earns more than $250,000 a month through her OnlyFans account, TV appearances, and brand deals. In comparison, self-employed Phypers claims he had ‘not made income’ since shutting down his holistic wellness company in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a breakdown of where Richards’ six-figure salary went, Phypers claimed that he and Richards, along with their adopted daughter Eloise, 14, saw their monthly outgoings average at around $105,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to his filing, $20,000 of that went on clothes and $25,000 on food, split between roughly $10,000 on groceries and $15,000 on eating out. Rent, he alleged, totalled around $18,000 – not including $8,000 in utilities, $5,000 on maintenance and repairs, and a further $5,000 on laundry and cleaning. Their phone bill was a comparatively modest $500, with around $1,500 set aside for cars and transportation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for their social life, Phypers claimed it was hardly frugal. The couple allegedly spent up to $15,000 a month on entertainment, gifts, and holidays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, childcare reportedly cost over $7,000. Alongside Eloise, who she adopted as a single mum in 2011, Richards is mum to Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, from her previous marriage to Charlie Sheen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his divorce filings Phypers made clear what he hoped to get. Alongside requesting spousal support, the former actor requested that he and Richards split their company, Smoke & Mirrors Entertainment, equally in half. There were also several pieces of property he believed here his right to have, including power tools, a 2018 Indian Dark Horse Motorcycle, and a Ford Shelby GT500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 With the restraining order in place until 2030 and a financial battle still unfolding, it\u2019s a situation that\u2019s far from done. Richards confessed during her podcast appearance that she was still very much taking the fallout day by day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘This was not a marriage’<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Saying she hadn’t yet ‘gone to therapy’ over their messy split, Richards shared, ‘It’s so much for me to talk about with dealing with a divorce, the lawyer, my attorneys, and all of that. It’s a lot. It’s like a full time job, almost. It’s exhausting. I do want to talk to someone, but I almost can’t right now.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vowing never to marry again, the reality star continued, ‘This was not a marriage. That part, I can’t do again. I’m 0 for 2.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her comment appeared to be a reference to her first divorce. Back in 2005, Richards split from her first husband, Platoon’<\/em>s Charlie Sheen, while pregnant with their second daughter. Speaking on the Dear Media’s Divorced Not Dead<\/em> podcast, the reality star described their marriage as being ‘very toxic,’ adding, ‘I think he would take that and understand what I’m saying.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, Richards’ romance with Phypers came at a time in her life where she felt the drama of her first divorce was finally in the past. The Starship Troopers <\/em>actress previously said of meeting Phypers, ‘I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but it happened. It was a good time in my life too, where my girls were getting a bit older and everything was behind me with Charlie.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She continued, ‘Looking back, I wish I never set foot into [Phypers’] wellness place ever. I don’t have any regrets in my life. I’ve always been the type that everything’s a lesson – the challenges, as painful as they can be, I don’t regret it. This, I regret [\u2026] I can’t wait until my divorce is final. I will delete every memory.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Phypers has denied all the accusations against him. He said in a statement, ‘I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise – or anyone.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
