It may be stating the obvious that children often look like their parents. However, we need a moment to point out some celebrities who are truly the mini-me version of their mother or father.

Some of these stars have inherited both beauty and brains from their mum or dad, not to mention, raided their wardrobes – who wouldn’t! But even sweeter is when the younger lookalike is following in the footsteps of their parents with their career choice.

Read on for celebrities who are a carbon copy of their parents…

Harper Beckham and Victoria Beckham

The only daughter of the Beckhams is incredibly close to her mum

One of Victoria Beckham’s best gal pals is none other than her daughter, who has inherited her mum’s naturally beautiful looks and killer fashion sense. Harper Beckham was born on 10 July 2011 in Los Angeles. When she isn’t featuring on both of her parents’ Instagram accounts, she’s creating fashion headlines whilst attending her mum’s shows.

Iconically, Harper is seen regularly wearing her mum’s own label, proving they both share similar styles. In September, Harper, 13, was spotted at Paris Fashion Week going to her mum’s fashion show in a baby pink satin gown whilst clutching a handbag from Victoria’s label.

Harper wore one of Victoria’s handbags to her mum’s fashion show

So let’s all agree that Harper must be raiding her mum’s wardrobe, right? Another standout style moment was when Harper wore Victoria’s own label to her mother’s 50th birthday bash. The teenager graced the scene in a 90s-style white silk camisole and effortlessly radiated the same classy look as her mum.

Whilst Harper doesn’t naturally have the same dark brunette hair as her mum, Victoria’s hair transformation has meant the pair are looking increasingly similar by the day. The former Spice Girl recently chopped off her dark locks to opt for a shorter style with blonde highlights. Of course, it’s no surprise they both have the same hair stylist, Ken Paves.

As for their shared love of makeup, Harper has been seen on her mother’s Instagram testing out products from the Victoria Beckham Beauty range, showing her naturally pretty complexion.

Sunday Rose and Nicole Kidman

Sunday Rose just made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, proving she is about to step into the spotlight like her A-Lister mum. The daughter of Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman was born on 7 July 2008 in Nashville and it looks like her modelling career is taking off.

Cameras were flashing and all eyes were on them when Sunday, 16, made her first public appearance with Nicole at the Balenciaga Fall 2024 Couture Collection show. Arriving in matching monochrome together, Nicole wore a floor-length sparkly gown whilst Sunday went for a velour turtleneck piece. Their statement matching black shades made them look uncannily similar and radiated powerful mother and daughter energy.

However, Sunday is starting to step out of her mum’s shadow as she took to the runway for the first time at Paris Fashion Week last month, modelling Miu Miu’s collection. The teenager looked so like her mum with her long blonde hair, and also appeared in an Instagram video for Miu Miu, showing she is learning to work the camera like her Hollywood actress mother.

Blue Ivy and Beyoncé Knowles

The daughter of Queen Bey is a star in the making

Next on the list, this pair are practically inseparable from performing on stage together, to enjoying girly days out, and even starring in the same movies. Blue Ivy Carter, born in January 2012 in New York City, is a literal mini-me of superstar performer mum Beyoncé.

A recent unearthed childhood photo of Beyoncé proved how alike she looks to her 12-year-old daughter. In December 2023, a childhood photo of Bey was posted by dad Matthew Knowles to celebrate the festival season and fans couldn’t believe it wasn’t Blue in disguise. The picture showed the singer and her sister Solange posing underneath a Christmas tree. One fan wrote, “Is that Blue?’’ and another pointed out the uncanny resemblance commenting, “It’s like looking at Blue Ivy!’’

In old childhood pictures it’s obvious how alike Beyonce is to her daughter

The mother-and-daughter pair are incredibly similar with their matching features. Both of them have glowing skin, share similar hairstyles and not to mention, fierce fashion styles. On stage is where the magic happens. In May 2023, Blue made her debut on her mum’s Renaissance World Tour wearing a range of matching outfits. From army prints to futuristic shiny outfits, the youngster had incredible stage presence. The star in the making also manages to pull off the dark shades that her mum frequently wears.

Queen Bey’s fashion evolution is a huge part of her career and it’s exciting to see that Blue is inheriting the same confidence to express herself through clothes. At the 2024 Grammy Awards, following the release of Bey’s recent studio album, Cowboy Carter, the duo’s fashion sense took a Westernised cowgirl spin. Blue wore head-to-toe Louis Vuitton and was dressed in a similar colour palette to her mum, who also wore Louis Vuitton and a cowboy hat. Another iconic twinning outfit can be seen in Bey’s video for Brown Skin Girl where the pair went for matching boho florals.

Fans may be forgiven for thinking Bey wanted her daughter to follow in her legendary footsteps, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, the Single Ladies singer told GQ: “She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue on stage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.’’ The twin-like pair are joined at the hip and it’s evident that Blue really looks up to her mum.

Katy Perry and Mary Christine Perry

Katy was brought up in a very Christian family

Who is behind the pop sensation, business woman and judge on American Idol? With a career that has been influential on modern pop music, you would expect singer Katy Perry’s mum to be just as much of a boss woman.

Global singing sensation Katy had in fact a very strict Christian upbringing and her mother Mary Christine Perry was a Pentecostal pastor. When it comes to looks, the chart-topper, born October 1984 in Santa Barbara, is her mum’s double. Despite Katy not often posting about her mum, it’s clear they share many similar features.

Pulling off short hairstyles is something the Perrys do effortlessly. Katy was in her short hair era when she turned up to the 2017 MTV Music Video Awards with a blonde pixie cut. Despite the rumours at the time that she was trying to copy Miley Cyrus, Katy’s mum actually also has a short pixie cut.

They aren’t often pictured together but their similarities in looks are strong

Like her daughter, Mary also hits headlines but more for political reasons. Earlier this year, she announced she was running for a seat in Santa Monica’s Republican Party and would appear on the ballot paper. Another political stir was caused in the 2016 election when Katy revealed to TIME that her parents had voted for Donald Trump: “Tonight my parents voted for Trump, but you know what? We will still all be sitting at the same table for Thanksgiving.’’

So politics aside, it seems Katy still has a relationship with her mum even if they don’t see eye to eye on certain views. In May, Mary celebrated her daughter’s seven long years of being a judge on American Idol by posting a photo on Instagram. The pair may not be in the same career fields, but they certainly have the same dark hair and love of the colour pink!

Hailey Bieber and Kennya Baldwin

Hailey’s mum has been featured a few times on the model’s Insta

Hailey Baldwin, 27, has had a huge modelling career, founded her own skincare Rhodes, and of course, is known for her A-List marriage to husband Justin Bieber.

However, her mum Kennya Baldwin has actually had a big influence on Hailey’s skincare regime. In an interview with Refinery 29, Hailey spoke about how she grew up admiring her mum’s regime: “My mum is from Brazil, and she’s always been invested in taking care of herself. I watched her my whole life take really good care of her skin in the sun, wear SPF everyday, moisturise. I think just growing up watching her, watching my Grandma, the both of them together so invested in skincare and beauty, and they definitely instilled (that) in me.’’

Hailey’s mum has heavily influenced her beauty regime
It’s clear Kennya’s skincare regime paid off as Hailey has glowing, youthful skin just like her mama. The duo also share the same striking model features of a defined jawline, high cheekbones, and an ageless complexion.

Harry Styles and Anne Twist

The former One Direction singer and his mum are very close

Let’s face it: everyone would love to have the Styles genes and Harry, 30, gets them mainly from his mum, Anne Twist.

After finding fame on series seven of The X Factor in boyband One Direction, Harry and his bandmates enjoyed the ultimate rise to stardom. After they split in 2016, he embarked on a solo career, releasing two solo albums and selling out stadiums. Anne is clearly super proud of her son’s success and on a recent episode of the Spinning Plates podcast, she said that Harry was always “a proper little entertainer”.

Harry’s mum defended him over his recent buzz cut

Despite being propelled to fame, Harry is still close to his family and his mother regularly shares posts on Instagram of the lookalike pair. The mother-son duo have similar features such as their signature dark hair, striking cheekbones, and cheeky smile, making it clear where the singer gets his good looks from.

In November last year, Anne even defended Harry as he was critiqued over his new buzzcut. In her caption, she praised her son’s ‘legacy of kindness and inclusion’ and said she doesn’t ‘get’ the hate.

Margot Robbie and Sarie Kessler

Margot and her mum are carbon copies of each other with their dazzling smiles

This Barbie used to be a farm girl and was raised by her mum with a whole different fashion sense. Award-winning producer and actress, Margot Robbie, who was born in July 1990, was actually raised on a farm on Australia’s Gold Coast. The 34-year-old has a close relationship with her mum Sarie Kessler, with whom she shares such strikingly similar looks such as her blonde glossy locks and her megawatt Hollywood smile.

Her mum Sarie, a physiotherapist, raised Margot as a single mum. They made their first red carpet appearance together at the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards in matching outfits and Margot even brought Sarie as a plus-one to the 90th Academy Awards.

Sarie has supported her daughter at many premieres and dressed up to match her daughter

Of course, Sarie got the dress code correct at the Barbie premiere, matching her daughter in pink. While Margot, who played the eponymous character and produced the film, wore a silk pink gown, her mum went for a bright pink blazer to match. However, Margot wasn’t always such a style queen. In 2019, Sarie confessed to Vogue that her daughter had a different fashion sense when she was young and still thinks: “Pinch me, this can’t be my daughter. The one who was in the farm boots and the apricot-coloured skirt.’’

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Patricia Fair

The mother and daughter are strikingly alike with their dark eyes and poised features

This lookalike pairing are the epitome of old Hollywood glam and they both give off a timeless appeal. Wednesday actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, 55, was born in September 1969 in Swansea, Wales. Despite not having as strong a Welsh accent, she still has the looks of her mother Patricia Fair.

Seamstress Patricia is very close to her lookalike daughter. Back in May, Catherine posted an old photo of her mum for US Mother’s Day, prompting many fans to comment on their physical resemblance. Young Patricia had similar long black hair and dark eyes. In addition to looks, Patricia is as stylish as her daughter, who is known for her glamorous appeal. For Patricia’s wedding anniversary last October, Catherine looked like her mother’s twin with their curly bobs and matching sparkly outfits.

Catherine goes back to Wales regularly to visit her mum

Whilst Catherine isn’t always in the UK with her busy schedule, she does remain close with her parents and goes to visit Wales often. The actress told The Sydney Morning Herald: “I’m a very homebody kind of person. My friends call me Cath. I speak with my mam every day, sometimes three times a day.” Clearly Catherine is still a Welsh girl at heart!

Lily Collins and Jill Taverman

Jill Taverman owns an antique shop in Los Angeles

Lily Collins may be known for her Phil Collins, however, the actress is in fact a mini lookalike of her mum. Lily, 34, was born in March 1989 in Los Angeles to eclectic antique shop owner Jill Taverman.

Throughout Lily’s acting career, she has always maintained a natural girl-next door look with her minimal makeup and youthful skin. Well, her looks seem to come from her mum who, unlike singer dad Phil, prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

They both have very naturally pretty complexions
On Instagram, Lily often posts pictures of her mum and while her parents live in Switzerland, it appears Jill is still a big part of her life. In 2021, she paid tribute to her mother, writing: “Happy birthday to the only woman I know who I’d show up in a matching outfit with!’ In the picture, the duo share the same prominent eyebrows and sweet smile.

Raff Law and Jude Law

Raff is also in the acting industry

Like father, like son. This celebrity pair not only resemble each other, but they’ve even starred together on screen. Raff Law, 27, was born in 1996 in London to actor parents Jude Law and Sadie Frost.

His dad Jude is known for his noughties heartthrob looks and it seems that Raff has inherited those same genes. Many people swooned over Jude’s dark hair, chiselled features and green eyes in films such as The Holiday or The Talented Mr. Ripley. So when this father-and-son duo stand next to each other, Raff is very much a younger version of his dad.

The son of Jude Law is like a younger version of him

Raff’s family have supported him in his acting career and he has even addressed the comparisons made between himself and his dad. In a GQ interview in 2021, he said: “It’s nice because we do have similarities and we are so close, so now that I’m older he can help me work on scripts and I can send him my music and he can say, ‘Yeah, that’s great.’’’

Raff’s series Masters of the Air recently premiered on Apple TV+ while short film The Hat, in which he starred alongside his dad Jude, was released in 2020.
