Marks & Spencer is well-known for viral best-sellers – so what’s one more to add to the roster? At the beginning of the year, there was the M&S cashmere jumper that made every other jumper I’d bought feel like a big mistake, last week the denim blouse that if you squint, you’d think it was from Ganni, and now there’s another best-seller in town – in the form of the One Shoulder Knitted Top, £29.50.

The top is so good it’s already been spotted on countless of influencers, as well as ex-Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead. With its flattering shape, asymmetric neckline and textured knit, the M&S top is available in two classic colours – cappuccino and black – perfect for pairing with other neutrals. The best part, however? It has that expensive-looking design without a hefty price tag, in fact, it’s under £30.

When it comes to styling, consider taking notes from Felstead and pair the top with wide-leg trousers and pointed-toe heels for a look that’s dinner-and-drinks ready. Alternatively, if you want to keep it more casual, throw the one shoulder top on with a high-waisted pair of jeans and ballet flats. Layering-wise, an oversized blazer or leather jacket will elevate the outfit and make it more British-weather-appropriate too.

A top this great doesn’t come around often – it’s flattering, versatile and has a thick knitted design that makes it look far more expensive than it is. Whether you’re wearing it to the office or to after-work drinks, this M&S one-shoulder wonder proves that simple doesn’t always have to equal boring. Although, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes the sell-out piece of the season (and it’s already well on its way there), so take this is your warning to shop now – or you’ll miss out.
