High street brands are doubling down on two-in-one outerwear, but this standout style from Jigsaw feels destined for cult status. After spotting it on chic attendees at London Fashion Week, I’m calling it now: this is the spring jacket about to go viral.

Transitional dressing has become something of an art form, and versatility is now the ultimate marker of modern luxury. As someone whose job involves crawling every new-in page in search of the next breakout buy, I’ve developed a sixth sense for pieces with momentum. This season, that instinct led me straight to this quietly standout design.

At first glance, it reads effortless. Look closer, though, and its appeal runs deeper. The lightweight, subtly sheeny fabrication elevates the classic bomber silhouette, giving it a refined finish that feels far removed from standard utilitarian outerwear.

The standout detail, and my favourite feature, is the removable hood with front-tie detailing that forms a bow in front, transforming it from sporty to feminine in seconds. It also has a softly sculpted, sailor-inspired collar.

And the colour feels expensive.  Instead of predictable neutrals, it comes in a deep purple hovering between aubergine and burgundy, giving it a richness that feels far more premium than its high street roots.

Seeing it styled across the city during London Fashion Week only confirmed what I suspected. Worn loose over wide-leg denim, layered atop fluid midi skirts, or paired with tailored trousers and understated heels, it adapts effortlessly.

Two-in-one designs are having a moment for good reason. They align with the shift towards smarter consumption: fewer pieces, better design, more adaptability. And this one feels primed for momentum. It photographs beautifully. It moves well. It feels different. I’d be surprised if it stays in stock for long.
