Ever unfollowed someone who’s really annoyed you? Well, it looks like Travis Kelce might’ve done. The internet was set ablaze earlier this week following reports that Travis – who we all know for being Taylor Swift’s loving boyfriend – had unfollowed Ryan Reynolds on Instagram. Drama.

Obviously, it could’ve just been an accident; a press of the wrong button. But there’s reason to believe it might be because of something else – as Page Six reported earlier this week that it could be thanks to the legal drama between Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni, and headlines that Taylor Swift might be subpoenaed.

‘Travis unfollowed Ryan because he is fed up with the whole drama,’ a source told the Daily Mail. ‘It’s not just about the spectacle of it all. Travis is concerned that he could potentially be questioned too since he was with Taylor as some of this was going down.’

There have been differing reports as to whether Lively and Swift are still friends, but according to the paper, ‘[Taylor and Travis] have cut out Ryan and Blake for the time being.’

Yikes. It’s certainly a far cry from how close their friendship circle used to be. Lively and Reynolds were photographed outside a party at Swift’s during a break from the Eras tour last summer. And not only that, but both couples have been spotted on a double date, and Lively and Reynolds showed their support for Kelce, watching him play for the Chiefs in October last year. In the same month, Reynolds starred on a Mint Mobile advert, which appeared on an episode of Travis and his brother Jason’s podcast – and after the ad, it seemed Reynolds had his seal of approval, as he called him ‘literally the greatest’.

If you need more context, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are embroiled in a legal showdown, after the pair worked together on the Colleen Hoover adaptation It Ends With Us. Lively executive produced on the film, and also starred as the lead, Lily Bloom. But at the end of last year, Lively filed a lawsuit, accusing Baldoni – who directed the film – of sexual harassment, as well as allegedly organising a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni denied the allegations, and filed a counter-lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds accusing the pair of civil extortion, defamation and invasion of privacy. He is also suing The New York Times, who first reported on Lively’s claims, for libel.

There’s a long time to wait before it’s set to be in court, though – as the trial is scheduled for March 2026. 

But what on earth does this have to do with Taylor Swift? According to reports last week, Swift – who is a godmother to Lively’s three daughters James, Inez and Betty – might be hauled into the legal drama, as the Daily Mail reported the popstar could be ordered to provide evidence.

In Baldoni’s lawsuit, he alleges that he was invited to Lively and Reynolds’ New York penthouse where one of her ‘famous and famously close’ friends, widely believed to be Swift, praised her rewrites of the script.

Baldoni then included text messages allegedly from Lively where she wrote: ‘If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons.’

‘For better or worse, but usually better,’ she wrote. ‘Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.’

Another text from Baldoni included in his lawsuit reads: ‘I really love what you did. It really does [help] a lot. Makes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor).’

Sources previously told Page Six that Lively had said sorry to Swift for bringing her into the legal drama, but added Swift is keen not to be involved with the situation. A source told the publication that Swift ‘is a strong woman and she’s not hiding from anything’ but that she is ‘simply enjoying some alone time with Travis and being under the radar for a little bit’.

As for Swift and Kelce, you might have seen online there had been some rumours that the pair had split up – especially after photos showed Kelce partying in Vegas alone. But, thankfully, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as Page Six have reported that the pair are still very much an item. ‘They’re still so in love and enjoying spending time with their friends and each other during the offseason,’ the source said. ‘There’s no trouble at all.’

For the moment, it looks like Reynolds still follows Kelce – but we’ll keep an eye on Instagram to see if that continues…
