Back in 2023, the internet was sent into a tailspin when it was revealed Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner were dating. Nobody – not even the most avid watchers of The Kardashians – saw the unlikely pairing coming. But since, seeing the pair interact at numerous events together, like the Golden Globes, it’s clear the pair are blissfully in love. (Look OK, we’re sorry, Club Chalamet.)

But, according to social media, the pair have apparently taken their relationship to the next level. And – hang on a minute – they might be married?! It’s quite the jump, but eagle-eyed fans have noticed a few clues – and honestly, we can totally see where they’re coming from.

Over the weekend, Kylie uploaded pictures to Instagram in a strapless white-lace tube dress and matching stockings from Lou de Bètoly to launch her debut $80 fragrance Cosmic 2.0. And paired with slicked back hair and minimal make-up, the final look was very wifey. So much so fans thought they might be from a sexy wedding shoot. ‘Legit thought she eloped and this was an iconic wedding dress,’ one fan commented. ‘Not me zooming in on the left hand,’ another added. (Same.)

That’s one hint, but it’s not the first time this month Kylie has added fuel to the rumour mill. When she hard-launched her relationship with the Call Me By Your Name star at the David di Donatello Awards, she was seen wearing a Schiaparelli ear cuff of a hand wearing an engagement ring… Which was a very interesting choice. Maybe she really is sending us signs?

According to sources, the red-carpet pictures together were a big deal for the reality star, after she supported Timothée from the sidelines during his premiere/awards season circuit for his role in Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. And Kylie put in the effort; she joined the actor at the LA afterparty for the film’s premiere, at the Globes and Berlin Film Festival, as well as at the BAFTAs.

‘Kylie’s really happy and relieved they finally made their debut,’ a source told US Weekly. ‘It was time and she wanted to publicly support him and show how proud of him she is. She and Timothée have gotten really serious, and this was a big step.’

And apparently, they’re ‘practically living together at this point’. The source adds Timothée has been spending a lot of time at Kylie’s $36million abode in Holmby Hills when he’s not working. ‘He has been fully integrated into her life,’ they say.

Kylie’s first relationship was with rapper Tyga (they met at her 16th birthday party, which he performed at). Her other most famous relationship was with Travis Scott, who she was on and off with from 2017 to 2023. They share two children: 7-year-old Stormi and 3-year-old Aire. But their relationship wasn’t meant to be, and they split for good a couple of years ago. ‘Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business,’ a source told People at the time. ‘She is not a big partier. Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. They definitely have different focuses. They always did.’

But, speaking about her current relationship, a source told US Weekly that Timothée ‘makes her feel calm and confident’ and that its ‘a different relationship from what she has had in the past’.

So, as one of the most famous actors in the world and one of the most famous influencers, how did the unlikely couple meet? Kylie and Timothée have a mutual friend, designer Haider Ackermann, and it’s believed they might have met at Nobu Malibu as far back as 2019. But it was a slow burn as they didn’t start dating until a few years later.

Like his girlfriend, Timothée has also had an A-list dating history – and he’s previously dated Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, Lily-Rose Depp, Eiza González and Taylor Russell.

He seems to be as serious about Kylie as she is about him, as a source told Entertainment Tonight last month that the actor is building a relationship with Kylie’s two children. The source said he’s ‘close’ to the kids, and ‘he feels lucky to be able to share a bond with them and is also respectful of her co-parenting relationship with Travis’.

As if it couldn’t get any more promising, Kylie also has the Chalamet family seal of approval. On record too – as his mum recently told Curbed the Instagram superstar has always been delightful to her. ‘I have to say she’s lovely,’ she said. ‘She’s very nice to me.’

Going by how happy Kylie seems to be, and the fact Timothée’s family like her, we wouldn’t be surprised if we heard some engagement news soon. And, we might be getting ahead of ourselves, but just imagine if the wedding was broadcast on The Kardashians?
