They’re hold up in his $20million mansion

Sports star Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have taken a step back from the public eye, spending extra time at his $20 million, lavish six-bedroom Florida mansion reportedly based in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club in Boca Raton, which has led to 24/7 security for the high-profile couple.

This downtime for the couple entails Kelce’s training for the new season, after a disappointing setback at this year’s Super Bowl. He announced on his New Heights podcast that he would not be retiring just yet, and won’t be stepping down from the game just yet – determined to leave his sports career on a high. This means ditching the celebrity party circuit and living a quieter, healthier, more disciplined life as he trains. And who knows, maybe Swift’s relative peace and quiet means she’s busy at work on her next album?

This period has been referred to as the singer’s ‘gap year’, giving Swift the chance to dedicate herself to quality time with Kelce, after 21 months on her Eras tour. They’ve still got plenty of time for chills, seeing as the new sports season doesn’t start for Kelce until September. Reports have also been made that the couple have been spending time with each other’s families, including a Mother’s Day trip to Philadelphia’s Talula’s Garden.

It’s no wonder that the couple might be seeking some much-needed time alone. On top of their crazy schedules, Swift has been fielding attacks from none other than the President of the United States himself, Donald Trump.

Back in September 2024, he posted on TruthSocial (a social media service launched by Trump Media in 2022): “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!’, a post that got 12,500 reTruths. He then followed this up last week with another post on TruthSocial: “”Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”.

When a Fox News journalist asked ‘What does President Trump mean when he says that Taylor Swift is no longer hot?’, White House representative and press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded “Look, he is speaking about Taylor Swift’s political views and how perhaps it has impacted the support of the American public for her work. I will leave it at that.”

The initial message of Trump’s “hate” for Swift came after she openly criticised the use of fake AI-generated photos of herself that had been used to promote Trump’s campaign, while simultaneously endorsing Kamala Harris’ in the presidential election late last year.

“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” she wrote on Instagram. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

This came after fans pressured Swift to speak out on her political views, especially after speculation that she was a closet Republican and Trump supporter amid her public friendships with figures such as American footballer Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kelce’s fellow Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick. Mahomes has in the past ‘doubled down’ on her support for Trump, leading to a debate as to whether Swift should and can hold friendships with political views that differ to her own.

Another reason Kelce and Swift might be taking some downtime is the singer’s unfortunate involvement in actor Blake Lively’s legal case against Justin Baldoni. Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment, and he countersued for defamation.
Swift has been named in numerous legal documents pertaining to the case and may be called as a witness when the case goes to trial in March 2026.

Relationships have reportedly soured, with Kelce recently unfollowing Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds on Instagram. So a distance may be forming between the two couples after Swift was subpoenaed as a witness in Lively and Baldoni’s upcoming trial.

The singer’s potential involvement in such a public scandal flies in the face of her rather private attitude to her personal life, so could be a source of conflict or discord between herself and Lively and Reynolds’ camp.
