Sydney Sweeney’s fans can now buy her ‘bathwater’

The actress has launched a surprising new product for die hard fans.

Sydney Sweeney is about to be splashing in the cash – as she’s turning her bathwater into soap. Yep, you read that correctly – the actress has teamed up with men’s natural soap brand Dr Squatch for the collab (because, of course, it had to be a men’s brand behind the idea).

‘When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of soap,’ Sweeney joked in a press release. And, apparently, it isn’t just a gimmick, as she added she’s happy the product ‘actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love’.

And if you’re worried about whether the product is legit, you can put your worries aside. For all the soaps sold, you will be the proud recipient of a certificate authenticating the product. Sweeney also said the bathwater is from the viral advert she filmed for the company last year, where sitting in a bubble bath she cheekily says to the camera: ‘Hello you dirty little boys, are you interested in my body… wash?’

So, apart from Sweeney’s bathwater, what else is in the bars? Apparently, the soap – called Bathwater Bliss – is a medium-grit exfoliating bar, which is ‘the ultimate blend of pine, douglas fir and earthy moss’.

If you want to get your grubby little paws on the soap, you’ll have to be speedy, as there’s only 5000 bars available. (And there’s been a lot of Google searches about how much the soap is and where you can buy it, so you best believe the interest is there.) Surprisingly, at $8 it’s reasonably priced, but if you don’t want to pay for it, the brand is also giving away 100 bars.

So, if you really do want a block of Sweeney’s bathwater, mark your calendars for 6 June – as that’s when it’s going on sale. Best of luck, we guess?

‘Are you interested in my body… wash?’ – Sydney Sweeney

Soap business ventures aside, it’s been a busy few months for Sweeney, as the actress has called off her wedding, which was supposed to be happening in May. Sweeney was with Jonathan Davino for seven years, who has served as a producer on her production company Fifty-Fifty Films. But reports in February started to emerge that the wedding had been cancelled. An insider told US Weekly in March: ‘Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split. Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship.’

The source added one of the main issues in the relationship was their differing schedules. ‘She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship,’ the source continued. ‘Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.’

But it was when Sweeney attended the wedding of Leslie Powell in March that the internet’s rumour mill really went into overdrive. Yep, that’s the sister of her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell.

And even though we could totally see Powell and Sweeney as the next great Hollywood power couple, alas, it’s not to be. (For now, at least.) A source told TMZ Sweeney and Powell were only there ‘as friends’, and explained the actress is ‘very good friends with the Powell family’ and has been ‘close’ with Leslie ‘for a long time’.

Powell’s mum Cyndy even got involved, clarifying ‘they’re definitely not together’ in an interview with the MailOnline. ‘They’ve been friends for so long,’ she added, calling the dating rumours ‘silly’. ‘They’ve known each other for so long and they’ve both been single and together and with other people.’ ‘We love Sydney,’ she added. ‘We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend. We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her.’

It’s believed Powell is single right now, following his split from Gigi Paris in April 2023. And Cyndy says it just isn’t the time for Powell to be looking to settle down right now. (To be fair, he does have a pretty packed schedule.) ‘He’s too busy right now. But he’s a family man. He wants a family and he wants his happily ever after. It’s just not right now.’

Well, all we’ll say is it seems Sweeney has the Powell family seal of approval. But maybe it will never be a thing, as Sweeney has previously told Cosmopolitian she doesn’t get together with fellow A-listers, as she told the magazine: ‘I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest.’ Is it bad to say we’re still holding out hope anyway?
