Kanye West (now legally known as Ye) has been added to a list of P Diddy’s friends and family so that he can attend his trial going forward, according to reports, after being denied entry to the courtroom where the trial was underway on Friday 13 June. His initial entrance reportedly caused a ‘ruckus’, with cheers heard in the federal building when he attempted to gain access.

When he was told he couldn’t enter the courtroom previously, he watched proceedings in an adjacent room with one of Diddy’s sons. His bodyguard and another Diddy supporter also sat with them. ‘He did not wait in line like everybody else from the public,’ a source told Business Insider. ‘No one gets special treatment.’ The rapper reportedly listened to about half an hour of testimony before he left the courthouse.

He was asked by ABC whether he was present to support Diddy in his trial, to which he responded: “Yes”. He did not respond when a reporter asked if he will testify on Combs’s behalf – we’ll find out soon, though, as Diddy’s defense begins presenting its case as early as next week. While in court to support Diddy, he reportedly was greeted warmly by Diddy’s sons and defense attorney. With his new spot on the ‘friends and family list’, he’ll be able to sit in the first two rows of seating in the courtroom.It’s not been confirmed whether West will return to watch more of the trial.

P Diddy is standing trial for sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges. He pleads not guilty to all charges. Diddy has been accused of using his fame and fortune to commit crimes over a 20-year period.He’s been locked up at a federal Brooklyn jail since he was arrested and indicted last September, and his defense attorneys have insisted that any sex he engaged in with his accusers was consensual.

Back in February, the rapper posted his plea to President Donald Trump on X to ‘PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF’, referring to Diddy’s alias as Puff Daddy.

There have been other disruptions in the courtroom from fans, with one shouting: ‘It’s not a f—ing game! They’re coming after you!” She was swiftly removed by law enforcement. Throughout the trial, fans have also congregated outside the courthouse wearing Free Diddy merchandise.

The trial has also recently seen a previous girlfriend of Diddy’s, testifying under a pseudonym Jane, wrap up her testimony. She alleged that she felt coerced into sleeping with male sex workers while Diddy watched.

She also testified that during a three-month break up of her relationship with Diddy, she also flew to Las Vegas in January 2023 with an as-yet-unnamed famous rapper who was close friends with Diddy, and his girlfriend.

She also testified that she went with a group including the famous rapper to dinner, a strip club and a hotel room party, and that a sex worker had sex with a woman while others watched.

West has faced backlash from critics who are accusing him of convincing his wife Bianca Censori to dress like his ex-wife and reality TV queen Kim Kardashian. This week, Censori was seen stepping out in a plunging nude bodysuit and black extensions, which quickly caused fans to point out a similarity between herself and Kardashian, with some suggesting West has a hand in how Censori is dressing.

‘I see Kanye had her dress just like Kim all the way down to the Kim wig,’ one fan commented, while another posted: ‘he probably makes her wear a cardboard mask with Kim’s face on it, looks like she’s gone and got hair extensions to match too.’
One critic suggested that Censori’s outfit choices were indicative of her ‘low self esteem’.
‘Bianca either has really low self esteem and she doesn’t think she deserves better than being bossed around by her husband or she likes being told what to do and the attention she gets, she is unstable like her husband,’ they posted.
Many have suggested that West was controlling Censori’s public image.

‘How can a woman be happy with a man who really wants her to be his ex-wife?’ one said, while another posted: ‘How can she be happy with herself, does she look in the mirror and say “Life’s great, I’m looking more like Kim today”.’

Another suggested Censori’s motivations were monetary: ‘Dressed up to look like his ex wife, she’ll never be good enough for him but I guess all she cares about is the dollars.’

All speculation feels particularly toxic, suggesting the way that a woman dresses indicates any selfish financial motivations or a lack of self worth. Supporters of Censori have agreed, with one commenting in her defence:

‘I really don’t see the outrage? It’s a full 1 piece swimsuit and leggings? Everything is covered and shown to perfection.’
