We’re taking notes from the stylish host on how to ace polished summer dressing.

When it comes to fashion, Cat Deeley is well-versed in the latest trends. The TV host has a knack for tapping into fashion’s current mood with ease, while also shopping the high street labels we all know and love. Case in point, earlier this week on This Morning, she stepped out in a pair of Bermuda shorts – a trending silhouette that’s been steadily gaining traction for SS25 – from Marks & Spencer.
Part of the brand’s Autograph range, which is known for offering premium investment pieces that feel contemporary and refined, the M&S Suede High Waisted Knee Length Shorts are a simple yet on-trend take on the classic Bermuda silhouette. Crafted from chocolate brown suede for a loosely tailored knee-length fit, the shorts offer the structure of suede while still being lightweight and breezy. Great news, if you’re looking for a balmy weather staple that still looks polished.

Instead of choosing to wear the matching Pure Suede Kaftan Top, Deeley styled her suede shorts with a silky satin blouse from Zara, which has since sold out. She completed the look with gold leather sandals for a boho touch, while a dainty bangle stack paired with a classic gold watch added an elevated finish to her on-duty ensemble.
Of course, there are plenty of ways to style the shorts for a distinctly off-duty flavour as well. 90s style bandeau tops are inherently cool, while frilly lace blouses will add a whimsical and romantic touch. Alternatively, a classic tank top will work equally as well, particularly during sweltering temperatures. For footwear, dress the look up with mule heels for a night out, or choose retro trainers for stylish city strolling.
