This High Street Wax Jacket Is As Good As Barbour’s – And There’s Now 20% Off
Boden’s Raglan Wax Jacket is our new favourite autumn staple.

If you’ve managed to (so far) dodge the various viral barn jackets that have been floating around – from Marks & Spencer’s iteration to Barbour’s infamous waxed style – then I’m impressed. It seems like just about everyone now owns a barn jacket, even if they don’t often dwell in the English countryside, too. More and more, I’m spotting the humble barn jacket on the streets of London, styled with a pair of chunky loafers and a white t-shirt, and, this also goes for Boden’s latest heritage offering, the Raglan Wax Jacket, which, you might struggle to dodge (apologies in advance).
Even if the words ‘I’m not buying a barn jacket’ have come out of your mouth at any point this autumn/winter, if there were ever a style to convince you to finally take the plunge – Boden’s is it. Designed with a boxy shape, waxed cotton finish, front pockets and fully lined interior, the Raglan Waxed Jacket is warm without feeling overly thick – meaning you can still style it with your favourite cashmere knit and not overheat on the tube.
Alternatively, lean into the heritage of the barn jacket and style it with a pair of straight-leg jeans, and leather boots. Boden’s Raglan Wax Jacket is also a quiet hero when it comes to playing with prints – its muted check pattern can be worn with leopard or zebra prints, as well as with boucle or cable knit textures. Consider it the jacket that makes even a soggy dog walk feel cool.
Here’s the best part, too – Boden’s barn jacket currently has 20% off in its Black Friday sale. For how long, we don’t know, but we’re taking it as a very polite nudge to sort our outerwear before the weather gets even colder.
