Lindsay lohan opens up about the commentary on her face
She’s denied having a face lift, and whose business is it anyway?

Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed the return of Lindsay Lohan. After she left Hollywood over ten years ago, LiLo has slowly but surely making her way back into public consciousness – signing a big money deal with Netflix in 2022 (for some of the worst, yet somehow best, rom-coms of all time).
And since she has started appearing on screens more, many have wondered what’s behind her glowing new look. Last year, aesthetics doctor Dr. Jonny Betteridge made a TikTok which claimed she could have spent up to $300,000 in plastic surgery procedures – including a nose job, upper eyelid surgery and a surgical brow lift. He also added he thought she might have had ‘some degree of surgical facelift’ done via an ‘endoscopic approach’, to make it less invasive. Lindsay’s look over the past couple of years has also been compared to Kris Jenner. (And while Jenner hasn’t addressed any recent rumours, she has previously been candid about getting a facelift, even filming getting one on an old series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.)
But Lindsay has always denied getting a facelift, and in a recent interview with Elle, she maintained her radiant, wrinkle-free skin was solely down to skin care, juices and Botox – because ‘everyone does Botox’.

According to LiLo, all of her days start with a ‘carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple’ juice. She also credits keeping hydrated as a secret to her glowy skin. ‘I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water,’ she added. ‘I’m a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything.’
When it comes to skincare, she says she’s ‘very specific’ – and her routine includes lemon water, eye patches and lasers. ‘I’m trying out some serums now that I’m doing — I’m testing them,’ she says. ‘Also, I’m a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up. I drink lemon juice a lot; I also put tons of chia seeds in my water. Eye patches, I do every morning. I’m into lasers.’
She added that she did try ‘Morpheus8 once’ – a microneedling and radiofrequency treatment – but stopped after realizing her ‘skin is so thin’ that she couldn’t ‘be doing that.’ But Lindsay says her new look is after having her child, Luai, who she welcomed in 2023. ‘My skin changed after having my son,’ she added. ‘It got really sensitive. That’s what really made me change my whole routine and diet and everything. I did blood tests, and I was like, “I want to know everything I’m allergic to.” So I cut everything out, and that’s kind of when everything started to change for me.’
And Lindsay’s publicist was so keen to put to bed rumours she’s had a facelift that she even interrupted the interview, having their answers published. (Trust me, as an entertainment journalist, that’s extremely rare.) Her PR rep chimed in to say the speculation about her appearance was unfair, saying: ‘The second [Lindsay] looks any different, they assume she had her face lifted at 37 or 38, that she ripped apart this or that. It’s so mean.’
‘The second she looks any different, they assume she’s had a face lift.’
Besides, her publicist added, Lindsay simply wouldn’t have had the time to get a facelift. After Lindsay said: ‘I’m like, when? With what time? Where?’ Lindsay’s publicist replied: ‘I tried to figure that out, Linds, in the last three years, when you had time to do anything, because I know your schedule.’ (To be fair, the NHS says the typical facelift recovery time is two to four weeks.) She literally concluded by saying ‘so the haters can hate and be jealous’. ‘It just sucks that that’s where they go with women in today’s world,’ she added. ‘Women can’t just look good to look good and change their lifestyle to be more healthy.’
It’s not the first time someone has stuck up for the actress when it comes to facelift rumours. Her dad, Michael Lohan, told PageSix last year: ‘Lindsay never had any plastic surgery done ever. Her look [is] so natural — just like her talent.’
Online, the interview has been met with scepticism, with many on social media asking why LiLo is ‘lying’. One plastic surgeon commented on an Instagram post: ‘As a board-certified plastic surgeon I can guarantee you this isn’t Botox and juice. These results only come with surgery.’ Though one did a very valid point: ‘…Her money, her body = her choice. It’s not like Hollywood makes it easy to get gigs once women start showing lines. It’s a forced environment which is toxic! She looks FAB by the way. Leave her and the celebs alone especially women! It’s still a male dominated world we live in. George Clooney can get a job at his age with his aged looks (which he is aging like fine wine) but a woman may not. Blame it on this sick toxic culture.’
And regardless of what Lindsay’s had done, we do have to agree she looks fab.
