Did Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry just crash the Bezos honeymoon?
The recently separated A-list couple joined their billionaire friends on their honeymoon. We’re just as confused as you are.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom might have split up – but that didn’t stop them from going on holiday together. The former couple – who share daughter Daisy, four – confirmed rumours their relationship had broken down, after Orlando attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Venice wedding on his own. But later on the European vacation, Katy joined Orlando, with the family hanging out on a $500 million mega yacht.
In the official statement, a spokesperson said they’d shifted their ‘relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting’. ‘They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect,’ the statement continued.
And earlier this week, the couple proved they were happy to be seen together, as Orlando shared a photo from the holiday. In the sweet snap on the boat, Daisy is on Orlando’s shoulders, with her head resting on Katy’s and Orlando’s son, Flynn, 14 – from his marriage ex-wife Miranda Kerr – is also looking at his dad.
Below the post, there was also a tonne of comments from fans, pleading for one of Hollywood’s strongest couples to get back together. As one fan commented: ‘Tell me you’re not breaking up and that it was all lies.’ ‘Such a beautiful family,’ another added. ‘I admire your maturity and ability to put your kid’s needs first and still spend time as a family’.
But whether their time as a family on holiday was really picture perfect, we’ll never know. According to reports, the trip was planned while they were on rocky ground, with the Mail reporting: ‘Sources say that in May, when the holiday was being planned, it was obvious that things were very bad between them and that this trip was likely to be a break-up holiday.’ The paper also reports Katy is still working through the split, and say that even though she felt ‘”raw” and was tearful a few weeks ago, [Orlando and Katy] are doing their best to get through the separation in a civilised way’.
A source told British-American showbiz columnist Rob Shuter things were less-than ideal on the trip, and that Katy and Orlando struggled with putting on a united front during the holiday. ‘They tried to do the co-parenting dream – smiley vacations, peaceful dinners – but it’s too soon,’ a source said. ‘It was overly ambitious. They’re not there emotionally.’
‘They still love their daughter,’ they added. ‘They still care about each other. But faking it? That chapter’s over.’
‘Their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect’

The Mail adds Katy and Orlando’s relationship was ‘essentially over’ when Katy started her Lifetimes tour in April (though they hadn’t yet worked out the practicalities of the split). This would make sense, as while she was touring, eagle-eyed fans noticed Katy’s signature ruby engagement ring was missing during an appearance a gay club night in Melbourne, Australia. Orlando proposed to Katy on Valentine’s Day 2019 with a gorgeous flower ring – rumoured to be worth a staggering $5million – but instead, she switched the showstopper ring for a plain silver band.
And, although Orlando publicly supported Katy as he watched her fly into space, last month it was reported he wasn’t totally on board with the all-female space trip, which was later widely mocked online. ‘From day one, Orlando didn’t think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face backlash,’ a source told The US Sun. (Representatives for Katy and Orlando did not get back to Grazia for comment at the time.)
Katy and Orlando started dating back in 2016, after a romantic meet cute: arguing over an In-N-Out burger after attending the Golden Globes.
But it’s not the first time they’ve split – as they did part for a year in the early days of their relationship. ‘He had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions,’ Katy said on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. ‘I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was just like, “I can’t do this anymore. I need to go swim in a different pond,” but I had yet to do a lot of real work.’
Hopefully, Katy is doing fine after the split – as she revealed following the furore to the space mission she has done a lot of that ‘real work’ she mentioned. ‘When the “online” world tries to make me a human Piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘Please know I am ok, I have done a lot work around knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me.’
