When Jen met Jim – inside the A-list love affair no one can peel their eyes from
Never fear, fellow enthusiasts of Jen’s happy ending, she’s sailing into the sunset with a hot new hunk…

What do you get when you cross a hypnotist with a gym bro? Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend, apparently! Oh yes, the 56-year-old actor is having the hot girl summer of dreams, sailing around Mallorca aboard David Geffen’s £300million superyacht accompanied by friends Amy Schumer, Jason Bateman and… a big hot hunk called Jim. Seriously, 49-year-old author Jim Curtis is rumoured to be Aniston’s new beau after the pair were spotted on a romantic date in luxury hotel Ventana Big Sur, in California, last month and have now been pictured getting, shall we say, handsy, on their recent holiday together.
So, ‘Who is this Jim guy?!’ we hear you ask. Well, brace yourselves. He describes himself as a ‘wellness pioneer’ who helps people create an ‘entirely new, empowered reality’ through ‘inner work’. A TEDx speaker, hypnotherapist and seller of ‘empowerment’ courses, he has authored two books, one of which biographs his personal journey with chronic pain and mental despair after developing lesions on his spine aged 22.
Sharing anecdotes from his ‘colourful past’ – as Page Six have referred to it – Curtis details a string of failed relationships with admissions like ‘I can’t keep a girlfriend because I get bored’ and ‘I wish I had a better relationship with my son, but he lives with his mother most of the time, and he’s pissed at me.’ Curtis has a teenage son with ex-wife Rachel Napolitano, whom he married in 2003 and divorced in 2009.

Naturally, said admissions have been scandalised in the tabloid (‘Jen’s fallen under the spell of hunky hypnotist’ one headline read) but – in defence of our Jen’s taste in men and shared sheer will for her happy ending – they are part of a 280-page book about finding happiness through trauma and setbacks. After all, who becomes a wellness guru from living a perfect life? Aniston has not, in fact, been hypnotised into love and is, rather, very happy.
‘Jim has been open with Jen about his difficult dating experiences in years gone by,’ a source close to the couple told Grazia. ‘But she’s very drawn to him, she says he’s an extremely soulful and engaging character and he’s been teaching her a lot about his spiritual methods as well as meditating, doing yoga together and getting to know each other’s friends. Jim’s life philosophy is all about releasing painful aspects of the past and embracing healthy, positive new beginnings. And Jen’s all in on that, it’s the most focused and confident she’s felt in years.’
They’ve been hot and heavy for three months now, the source says, and joining her close-knit circle on holiday was a significant development. ‘It shows just how smitten she is,’ they explain. ‘She’s seeing this as something with big potential. Jim’s passed any informal test with flying colours. Jen is very happy and cautiously optimistic; this is her first serious romance in seven years.’
‘Jen’s cautiously optimistic.’

It comes at interesting timing, too, with 29 July marking 25 years since Aniston’s Malibu wedding to Brad Pitt. Given what’s been going on in his pit of despair (despite glamorous public appearances for his new movie, his legal battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie over their Chateau Miraval winery is only becoming more bitter – Pitt’s lawyers recently compelling Jolie to hand over private texts related to the case), one can’t help but feel relieved watching Aniston frolic through Europe with her new wellness hunk – hypnotised or not, there’s nothing like the smile of a woman free from the memory of toxic exes, watching your muscle-adorned new boyfriend do yoga aboard your superyacht. Living the dream, Jen!
