These Next Trainers Look Just Like The New Balance X Miu Miu Shoes

The best part? They’re £794 less than the originals.

Sartorially speaking, New Balance has partnered with plenty of high-end labels over the years. Its collaborations with Ganni—three and counting—have each sold out in record time. But it’s the brand’s recent partnership with Miu Miu that has the fashion set in a fury, thanks to the introduction of the 530 SL Suede Sneakers.

Naturally, as soon as these suede trainers dropped, they flew off the online shelves instantly. Available in two shades—cinnamon and ecru—the New Balance x Miu Miu sneakers feature a genuine leather suede upper, contrasting laces in orange, brown, and white, and, of course, both the signature Miu Miu logo and the iconic New Balance ‘N’.

If you missed out on the drop (or, more realistically, couldn’t justify spending £850 on a pair of shoes), there’s good news. High street retailer Next has released an almost identical version, complete with the same rich brown colourway and mix-and-match laces. Enter, Next’s Premium Leather Lace-Up Trainers.

While visually similar, there are a few key differences. Next’s version features a cushioned comfort footbed and is also available in black, in addition to the tan shade. The biggest distinction? The price—Next’s trainers come in at a whopping £794 less than the originals. We predict its stock will dwindle rapidly.
